Fuck my day. I am being bombarded with messages from Jake Williams. Remember I agreed to date him last night to get Abbie Brookes jealous, then remember I forgot I am grounded by my parents because I arrived home late last time. Now, he's been texting me non-stop just to annoy me and ruin my day. How stupid I am to make an agreement with a devil.
You may be asking how he got my number. Oh yeah, easy. He just snatched my phone when I was getting some things from my locker yesterday. Jake called his number using my phone, and apparently, he also saved his number on my contacts with his contact name: Most handsome Jake.
And of course, I changed his contact name to Jerk, because that's the truth, he's a total jerk.
I immediately checked my phone when I heard it vibrate.
Have lunch with me later. -Jerk
I don't want to. - I texted back
I wasn't asking you. I am demanding you. -Jerk
Well then, you are too demanding. -Me again. What a total psycho.
Meet me at lunch in the cafeteria. I have some plans for you. -Jerk
What plans is he talking about? Is this about Abbie? OMG. I am quitting already.
But you like him right? You wanna get close to him right?
I am starting to like him. That's different.
Basically, you still like him. That's the same.
Shut up, inner self. I don't like Jake Williams, neither do have the intention to develop any feelings towards him. That would never happen. NEVER.
"Hey Eunice. Are you okay? You look pale." Kara asked me. She's back to her classes after her sick leave yesterday. I feel so guilty not telling her about Jake and all that she missed yesterday. But then, I'm afraid she may judge me. But she's my friend, she will understand.
"I'm fine, thanks." You have to tell her. Tell her now. "Hey Kara, I have something to tell you."
"Yeah?" She said not looking at me and just concentrating on reading her favorite Stephenie Meyer book, Breaking Dawn. How this girl loves vampires.
"Yesterday..." I paused, a little hesitant at the moment. "No, actually, the day before yesterday, when you left me for work, I had this little fight with Abbie and her bitchy friends again and Jake was there too. He saw us. And so yeah, yesterday, during our Algebra Class, Jake was just really annoying. He kept on holding my hand."
When I said that, Kara immediately looked at me. I can't explain her eyes.
"So something evil popped out of my mind..." I continued telling her. "As everyone was looking at me, especially Abbie and her friends, I said yes when Jake asked me for a date. We also made out. But that was just quick, I promise. I made sure Abbie was looking that time. Her face was so priceless." I started laughing. I suddenly stopped when I saw Kara looking at me seriously.
"You have no idea what you have done. I already warned you about him. He's not the person you can trust with."
"Uhm, I'm aware of that. But still, he can help me do a little revenge to Abbie. She deserves it." I told Kara.
"It's up to you. But don't tell me later I didn't warn you." Kara told me. I hugged her tightly. "Uhm, Eunice you can release me now."
We both laughed and I released her from my hug. "I know that was sudden but I had to do it. I am so lucky to have a supportive friend like you."
