Ophelia's stay in the Gryffindor dorms was adequately normal, as if she was in her own dorm.
Lily Evans had leant her some clothes to sleep in and even let her sleep in her bed. Ophelia obviously didn't object.
Morning soon came and she was thankful. Though Ophelia did want to change her ways, she was still uncomfortable, she was hopeful that this would soon change, but only time would tell.
Ophelia was caught off guard when Lily hit her with a cleaning charm, on her school robes she wore the previous day.
"Thank you." She muttered to the red head quietly
The red head had conflicting thoughts running through her mind and was hesitant to speak, "I know what you think of me."
"Pardon?" The Slytherin raised and eyebrow, avoiding eye contact - in fact she hadn't made eye contact with the girl at all.
Lily took a breath in, she was intimidated by the pure blood girl, "I know what you think of people like me." She looked her in the eyes, "us muggle borns."
The atmosphere in the Gryffindor common room soon changed to an uncomfortable silence.
"I want to change." Ophelia states, "My views on mudblo- muggle borns at-least."
The Gryffindor girl gave her a reassuring smile, "Well then I'll help you too."
"Oh that won't be necessa-"
But Ophelia was unable to finish her sentace before she was dragged off by lily.
She hadn't even had her robes on, just her white blouse, tie, rolled up school skirt - with tights of course, and small heeled black leather school shoes. Her hair was its usual, dark, straight, shoulder length self.
Lily on the other hand, had her jumper on, wearing a similar uniform to Ophelia - bar the green and silver tie and tights which were substituted for a red and gold tie with white socks.
Luckily for Ophelia who had no jumper or cloak, it was still early September so the warm weather was still upon the Hogwarts students.
Lily and Ophelia zoomed through the Gryffindor common room, much to many people questioning glances.
Soon enough they came to a halt, in front of the girls prefects bathroom, lily being the Gryffindor 6th year prefect.
"Cobblestone" the red head muttered and quickly pulled the brunette in.
Ophelia looked around questionably, "what are we doing here?"
Lily giggled, "don't worry, I'm not gonna make you snort crack or anything."
"Why in Salem would I snort a crack?" She tilted her head, "What good would come of snorting out of a pavement crack?"
Lily broke into a fit of laughter much to Ophelia's confusion, but the laughter was contagious, and soon the two girls were kneeled on the floor, in tears over something so minor.
They probably would've stayed that way for a hour if the hufflepuff prefect hadn't of walked in and questioned lily and given her a insincere warning since she knew of the gingers kindness.
The two of them made their way into the great hall in a comfortable silence, it was 08:13AM so it was semi full of students eating breakfast before classes began.
Ophelia started walking in the direction towards the Slytherin table before her hand was grabbed by Lily, she started dragging her to the opposite end of the hall - gryffindor table.
"Oh no- Lily I cant." The pureblood tried to release her hand and make her way to her house table.
"What's the worse that could happen?" Lily rolled her eyes.
