12 | Dinner Date
Namjoon said what he said and Jae clearly heard what she heard. Namjoon chuckled lightly as he found her cute and Jae blinked her eyes as she was trying to get used to the situation. He stood up and Jae followed his actions.
"I'm hungry though," Namjoon informed. "Shall we go?"
Jae was unsure of where they were headed to at first and whether it was a good idea because she was determined to find out if Namjoon was the one she kissed at the party. She had known Namjoon had feelings for her for a long time and did showed affection through his actions. Jae never showed any sign of interest because she was careful when it came to love and that must be the reason why Namjoon never took the second step.
However, all her thoughts were thrown to the back of her head when the two of them stepped into her favourite restaurant. It was also the place where the two first met and Namjoon had taken note that she loved the food from here.
He pulled the chair for her to sit down and Jae thanked him with a smile. They settled in their seats and ordered their food. Namjoon was going through the beverages and glanced at Jae.
"Do you want wine or is it enough of alcohol for the week?"
"What do you think my answer is?"
Namjoon chuckled and handed the menu back to the waiter.
"The best wine please."
The mood was getting better as the time ticked away. The food was delicious and more than a few glasses of alcohol had been drank. Obviously, drunk Jae was starting to show up. The two were conversing casually and somehow led to the topic about the party.
"I wasn't expecting you to show up at the party. Taehyung is..?" Namjoon asked as he tried to distract Jae from pouring another cup for herself.
"He's my ex," she replied and still managed to grab the bottle. "What about you? How did you know him?"
"We are business partners and also, friends. We actually got to know each other through mutual friends."
"I see."
Jae stopped talking as she had too many things to think of. She looked at Namjoon who was smiling at her and patiently waiting for her to speak because he knew she wanted to say something.
"I am actually searching for someone that I happened to meet at the party," she finally let it out.
"And?"
"And... the only thing I know is that when we kiss, there's just this weird feeling. I want to know who is able to make me feel like that."
Namjoon hummed and he stared into her eyes. She wetted her lips nervously.
"How do you plan to find him then?"
"K...kiss."
Jae didn't say anything else. She just let her eyes do the talking because the mood was just perfect and the alcohol made her not care about the outcome.
All of a sudden, Namjoon stood up and leaned in. It was then Jae felt something soft on her lips.
