It's the day of the Festival
{Your POV}
I woke up early and went to the kitchen and make breakfast. Mabel woke up few more minutes after I did and went to sit at the dinning table.
"I'm actually proud that you woke up early today" Mabel smiled as she said
"Yeah! I have to. It's the day when I beat people asses with my awesome invention!" I said proudly while I flipped the bacon to the other side.
"It's 8:00... I thought it's starts at 10?" Mabel asked as she was confused "I mean, I know it takes us to drive an hour to get there but we be there around 9:10 so..?"
Knowing Mabel only for a few days that it felt like I know her for years. And the one thing I know about her is that she does not like going somewhere too early or too late. So she doesn't have to wait long or felt guilty for being late. But since I knew that, I have a plan to keep us busy there.
"I know, but as soon we arrived there I need get my invention and get a table to put my board up and you can help me memorize my cards to explain about my invention" I explain
"Hmm ok, I'll go with that" Mabel replied, agreed to my plan
As soon we got done eating, Mabel and I got dressed and get our things and head straight to the car.
"Forgetting anything before we leave?" Mabel asked just in case and I replied no and we start heading to the Festival.
Mabel and I arrived at the Festival. As we're in the parking lot looking for a spot to park, I got a glance at the place.
*Damn, this place is HUGE* I thought to myself, amazed and nervous
"You ok there (Y/N)? You look nervous" Mabel looking at her rear view mirror
"Yeah... I am.." I said nervously looking at other people with their invention
Mabel noticed that I'm looking that the people with their awesome invention
"Am I seeing a fake (Y/N) in my car?" Mabel smirked
I hate it when she smirk like that. It makes me feel weak but somehow... determined?
I slapped my face both sides with two hands "I'M GONNA BEAT THEIR ASSES" I said determinedly
"THAT'S MY GIRL!" Mabel said proudly then she stop the car at the front of the building "It'll take FOREVER to find the parking spot at this range so I'm drop you off here and head inside and get ready. I'll met you there"
I nodded grabbed my things and got out, shut the door to see Mabel drive off. I walked towards the building and think about the sentence she said to me. "THAT MY GIRL!" I smiled.
*She reminds me of my mom...*
When got inside, I head straight for the front desk.
"Hi Miss, What can I help you?" The man in the front desk asked
"I'm participating in the festival and It's my first time being here so I need help.."
"Oh ok I'll show you around" The man said as he stood up from his chair and head towards a hallway.
"So you must be (Y/N)?" The man asked
