In your usual every day life, you worked a part time job at a coffee shop called Ontaku and attended college. It had been about two weeks since your lovable best friend, Kaneki went missing, and ever since then, nothing felt the same. Something just felt ...off. You seemed to always have this unshakable feeling that you were being watched. Ignoring it, you got out of bed and started getting ready for class as you couldn't help but think about your sweet, funny, adorable best friend. During class, you always liked to create fantasies about him in your head. On a normal day, your daydreams would be a Kaneki pleasure fiasco. Today, all you could think about was wanting to know he could safely walk in through the door again for the first time in what felt like forever. You missed his comforting, warm hugs, the way his eyes lit up when he was excited, and his sexy, relaxing voice that always seemed to make you happier. You then decided that hanging up some missing posters might be a good idea. I mean, they might not help much, but maybe there's a chance, right? After your classes, you had to go to work at Ontaku until 8. On a usual day, it gets at least half busy. Today, it was deserted. At 8, you clocked out and started on your way home. The streets seemed noticeably more crowded than usual, it would have taken you forever to get home. So instead, you walked a short cut through an alley. At home, you printed out some missing posters for Kaneki in hopes of finding him. Tomorrow was Saturday, plus, you were working the night shift, so you had plenty of time. What harm could this bring? The next day, you awoke early, it had been hard to sleep knowing your friend could be injured or dead and all you were bothering to do is try not to overthink. After coffee, you went to town and began hanging the posters everywhere. Finally, as you came to the last poster, it was time to start heading home so that you could dress for work. You liked to arrive at Ontaku early so that you could drink some of their delicious coffee and maybe have a snack before starting. Same as yesterday, the place was deserted. Later that night, you finally clocked out and began walking home. You decided to take the alley again, since it was a shorter route, despite the many the ghoul attacks that had been happening in that area.
