Ch. 26

Everything is different. Big is gone, and there's nothing anyone can do to change that.

Rob has lost a lot of blood overnight, but he's hooked up to several tubes and is resting.

Doctors almost lost him too, if it wasn't for all of the nurses and doctors surrounding him getting him to be stabilized, he would be dead.

"Is daddy gonna be okay?" Matthew said looking up at his mom while standing at Rob's bedside at the hospital.

"He will be fine, he just needs to rest." said Chanel while stroking Rob's hair and looking at him with concerned eyes.

Larissa doesn't say a word as she crosses her arms and looks down at the cold hospital floor.

Matthew looks up and stares at the heart monitor and listens to the repeated beeping noise.------------------------------

Drama, Sterling, and Big Cat walk through the fantasy factory with a sad tone about them, they know this place won't be the same without Big.

Drama sits on one of the stairs with a railing beside it.

"You okay?" Sterling asked while sitting down beside Drama.

Drama doesn't even look at Sterling.

"Yeah" he said with a soft voice.

"I know Big is gone. You don't think I care? He was one of my closest friends too, almost like a brother." said Sterling knowing Drama was upset over what happened with Rob and Big.

"He was close to me too. It's not gonna be the same around here without him." said Drama.

"Wish we could change things and stopped them from going out for a drive the other day. There's nothing we can do now." said Sterling.

"Yeah" said Drama with a low voice again.

Big Cat hugs Drama, something he hasn't done in a long while.

"It's okay, I miss him too. It is different without him here." said Big Cat.

"Yeah, it is." said Drama with sad eyes but not looking like he's going to cry anytime soon.---------------------

Rob opens his eyes and looks at his family standing there beside him.

Patty and Gene knew what was going on and so did Denise and her husband, so they all came out to see Rob.

"Hey Rob, how ya feeling?" Patty asked while holding her son's hand.

"Feeling like I want some casadias and out of this hospital right now." said Rob.

"Even in a hospital with tons of tubes hooked to you, you're still the same goofy brother I know." said Denise.

Rob laughs a little bit but quickly stops when pain starts to hit and go through his body.

"This is where it hurts the most." said Rob showing everyone the stitched gash in his stomach.

"Ouch." said Denise making a disgusted face while looking at the huge gash.

He puts his hospital gown back down and slowly tries to raise up in bed.

"How long do you have to stay here?" Gene asked.

"They told me at least a few days or so just to make sure I don't start to bleed badly again. They wanna make sure I stay stabilized." said Rob.

"I can understand, you just need a lot of rest and some therapy maybe." said Gene.

"I'm sure you know Big had it worse than I did, right?" said Rob.

"Chanel called and told us what happened. It was also on the news this morning. It's a tragic thing. Big was so close to you and all of us." said Patty.

"Just wish it never happened, then he'd still be here." said Rob looking depressed.

"Oh honey, I know." said Patty hugging Rob with a special type of hug that shows her concern for him and everything.

Chanel and the kids hugged him next, with Chanel hugging him so tight and long that she never wanted to let him go.

Rob kissed Larissa and Matthew on the forehead and hugged them tightly with warm hugs.

"You know, you are a good father to them Rob. You always have been and I'm surprised." said Denise.

Rob smiles, "That's my job, I gotta teach them the right way." He says.

"We're all proud of you Rob." said Gene.

"Thanks dad." said Rob.

Just then, the doctor comes in.

"Hi Rob, hi guys. I'm going to give you all your medication and then we'll bring in your food tray and work in a few therapy sessions tomorrow." said the doctor standing in front of Rob's bed.

"Alright." said Rob.

"Well we better go, we're gonna stay with Chanel and the kids so we can all come and see you tomorrow." said Patty.

"Yeah, and we are gonna stay at a hotel nearby so we can come tomorrow and also be here if you need us for anything." said Denise referring to her and her husband and son.

"Okay, be careful. Take care sis." said Rob as Denise and Jason came to hug him.

"We're here too if you need us. Don't be afraid to call." said Patty.

"Okay, thanks mom. Love you." said Rob.

"I love you too." said Patty.

Chanel hugs Rob and kisses him sweetly.

"I'll be back tomorrow morning. Just stay and get some rest. Love you." she said.

"I will, I love you too." said Rob.

"Bye daddy, love you." said Larissa as Matthew followed behind, "yeah, love you daddy."

"Love you both. Take care of your mom for me." said Rob.

"We will, you can count on that." said Larissa with a smile.
