Coming Back

DIPPER POV

We were on the bus coming back to Gravity falls because our parents, unfortunately, died in an office shooting. So ford and stan said they will take full custody of us. I was happy it was them. After our parents passed away something seemed off about me. I wasn't myself. I felt like a different person. It was strange. Mabel seems bubbly as always but I always worry. What if she is sad and won't tell me? What if she has depression? Whatever I need to think positive.

We pulled up to our stop seeing the 'WELCOME TO GRAVITY FALLS, OREGON!' sign with a bunch of people piled up against it. I shook Mabel "Mabel we are here." she got up and got her stuff and got off while I was doing the same. The group of people containing Stan, Ford, Wendy, Soos, Pacifica, and of course Candy and Grenda. They all saw us and yelled "WELCOME BACK" I smiled trying to keep a fake face on so people won't suspect anything. I didn't know what to with myself anymore.

Candy and Grenda tackled Mabel as always while I went to Ford who was hugging me. "Hey Dipper how are you doing?" he said. "Okay. I guess." I said trying not to think about it. He messed with my hair and then said: "Hey since you two are now 16 I thought it was right if you two would have your own rooms." That was great so Mabel wasn't always annoying me. So I could act like myself and express my feelings without Mabel wondering what the hell was going on. "That's awesome. Thank you!" I said. The Stans smiled and rubbed my hair again. "So how about we get back to the shack and catch up huh?" Stan said to the group of people. They all nodded and we headed back to the shack.

Once we were at the front door of the shack Stan unlocked it and we all piled in. "Soos, can you show them to their rooms please?" Ford said. Soos nodded and we went up to the stairs. There were two rooms the guest room and the attack I didn't really care which one I got so I said: "Mabel you pick which one you want." She nodded and said "The guest room would be nice." that meant she wanted that room and I was happy with that answer I loved the attack. "That settles it then. Dipper you can get the attic situated." Soos said and I nodded getting my bags up the stairs. I sighed and jumped on the already made bed. I looked up at the ceiling and fell asleep.

I woke up in a dark world. It was neverending so dark too. "Hello?" I yelled. "yes brother." Mabel ran to me with a dark smile. I hugged her because I was scared. "So glad to see you!" I said she pushed me away.

"No one likes you. I don't even like you. Grunkle Stan is way better." she said. As the words poured out of her mouth I teared up. "Oh is the baby going to cry? Kill yourself!" I looked down. "You don't know how many times I've tried. But I STAYED HERE FOR YOU! The ONLY reason I am still here is YOU!" I yelled. Mabel smiled and laughed. "Now then die!" she said.

I started crying as I ran. I ran into the woods. I never wanted to look at her again. I should kill myself. I am so awful how am I still here?

Then a bright light was coming.

Then I woke up panting and tears on my face. It was 11:00 am Maybe she is right? NO, it was just a dream. Calm down Dipper. It's alright. Deep breaths like Mabel showed you. Then I was calm. I wiped my tears off my face and got dressed. I was heading down the stairs to eat when I saw Mabel calling for me. "Hey bro-bro!" she said. I just remembered the Mabel from my dream.

I took a deep breath and said "Hi." She put some pancakes on a plate and handed me some syrup. I Stared at the pancakes and said, "I am going to go explore I will be back by Dinner!" I yelled through the shack. "Alright be safe!" Ford yelled back at me. I went through the woods. It was calming. I loved it out here.

I saw some cool creatures and took some notes to show to Ford later. As I went deeper into the woods the less calm I was. "I don't remember this part," I said under my breath as I walked even deeper into the woods. After 5 minutes of walking, I decided I didn't want to risk getting lost.

So I turned around and went back. I came in front of the shack and I saw some familiar faces that weren't that exciting.
