It was a Tuesday afternoon, I was working babysitting this little boy. It was just a normal day, i cook something up for the kid when all of a sudden my bestfriend calls me. I picked up the phone, kinda juggling the phone with the kid's plate and the food and just everything. When I pick up she starts screaming saying "oh my gosh Nanichy! Guess what?!" I'm just like "alright Sharon relax before you explode my eardrum, what is it?" and shes like " Guess who's coming to new York July 3rd??" "who?" I asked her curiously. She screamed "ONE DIRECTION! " I stood silent for about 20 seconds with my mouth wide open and I screamed "NO WAY! WHERE? WE HAVE TO GO!" she gave me all the details and we set it up, we were going to drive to Albany at 7 am to get there around 8;30 am so we can be there early. She said that they would be there around 10 am.
The days passed and me and her are just counting down the days until finally, July 3rd 2012 arrives. The day we would finally meet our boys. She called me around 5;30 screaming "WAKEY WAKEY SUNSHINE! TODAY WE'RE MEETING OUR LOVERS!" . she came to my apartment at around 6;30 am and we decided to grab some breakfast at McDonnaldsl and hit the road ASAP. We wanted to be the first one's there. All of a sudden as I'm driving down there we hit traffic. Sharon automatically says "are you fucking kidding me? The most important day in my life there's traffic?! We'll never get there on time!". We're both freaking out. When we finally get out of the traffic it was already 9;30 am so I start speeding to get there. When we finally arrive there were hundreds of girls already there. My hope went straight to the ground and Sharon's too, I could see it in her face.
We decided to just turn around because it would be pointless to stay, we would never see them. So as I'm turning around, we see this massive crowd running towards us, but they were running after something, somebody, we weren't quite sure. But as it gets closer, we notice it is Liam, Harry, Zayn, Louis, and Niall. We look at each other we the same face expression. We couldn't believe it! We were speechless, breathless! And as they get closer and closer we just look at them. We see they are desperate and scared. They run towards my car and knock on the window. I can hear they're out of breath and desperate and Liam asks " please let us in your car and drive us away! These girls are nuts! Please please please let us in!" I can't say a word, I just unlock the doors and let them in as fast as I can. They all jump in the car and Louis yells " GO GO GO! THEY'RE GETTING TOO CLOSE! GO! " so I speeded out of there.
After a couple minutes of driving them around Liam brakes the silence and says " thank you so much! You are amazing! You literally saved us" all the boys agree and thank me as well. Their accents were driving me insane! I just say " no, no problem. Don't meantion it". My voice was trembling and I could feel myself shake. Sharon has tears in her eyes but she's crying quietly. Zayn asked me "so what's your name?" I quickly say " Nanichy" he says " that is really a unique and lovely name" I melted inside. Then he asked Sharon and she stuttered "Sh- Sh- Sharon.." Harry says " Well nice to meet you Sh-Sh-Sharon! Lovely name you've got!" we all laughed and I can clearly hear Niall, he was so loud! I loved it!
I ask them "where are you boys heading to? So I can drop you off" Liam says "The hotel just down the highway. You'll see it" so I keep driving. I hear the boys chatting and laughing in the back. I couldn't believe it. I wanted to yell my lungs out. The boys that I've been dreaming of for about a year are sitting in the back of my car. I thought I was dreaming. Sharon was freaking out in the passenger seat. She doesn't say a word but by the look on her face I know she wants to just run around and yell and "fan girl" for the rest of the day. Harry asks "so what were you two beautiful gals planning on doing before you became our super women?" we both giggle and Sharon says " we were supposed to be part of the mob who chased you down" Niall starts laughing and says "not today you're not!" we all laugh. I see the hotel so I get off by the next exit and stop at the light. Louis screams "OH SWEET BABY JESUS! What the hell is this?!". There were hundreds of fans outside their hotel, all screaming and singing. Niall yells " HOLY SHIT!" and inside, I was too.
