Two months later, Greninja's wounds had fully healed. He was kept out of training for a couple of days after leaving the hospital, but soon he was right back in the thick of things with his teammates. His strength wasn't quite up to par, but he was determined to catch up eventually.

Hawlucha spent every moment at Greninja's side after the frog-ninja Pokemon awoke from his coma. He knew he probably looked pathetic, but that was the last thing he cared about. After going through the scare of nearly losing Greninja, Hawlucha wasn't about to let something like that happen again. If it meant being a little clingy, well, that was the way it had to be.

Of course, the rest of the team didn't particularly care how much time they spent together. They were just happy that the fighting had finally come to a ceasefire. Now, they could actually have a little peace and quiet on occasion.

No one except Hawlucha and Greninja knew the real reason the pair were together so often in the months after his near death, and that was exactly the way they wanted it.

"You know, the others are going to find out eventually," Greninja pointed out. "Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if they already know but just haven't said anything to us yet."

"You're probably right," Hawlucha acknowledged. "But I think we can keep it a secret a little while longer, don't you?"

"Remind me again why we're being so secretive?"

Hawlucha nuzzled Greninja's face before replying, "I guess there are just some things I'd rather be kept private."

Greninja rolled his eyes but didn't protest. He supposed he would never understand Hawlucha completely, no matter how close the two of them became. But that was fine with him because after all, he had his own quirks and oddities that he didn't want to explain to anyone else. For example, there was the fact that he enjoyed collecting spiders and placing them in people's rooms just so he could hear them scream.

As long as he knew that Hawlucha loved him, he supposed it didn't really matter how many secrets either of them had.
