Jeon Jungkook was pissed. Normally, his natural state is annoyed, but today was even worse. Today, his icy glare removed everyone from his path as he stomped his way to the back stairwell. If anyone asked why he was so mad, he would have answered,
"Some friends are complete shit."
His outlook on life wasn't usually so bleak. His friends were only mildly irratating on a daily basis. However, today was an exception. Jungkook pushed open the door to the stairs and leaned against it. Angrily stomping from one side of campus to the other was tiring. He had a good reason for it, though. He just found out his friend- sorry, ex-friend- was hooking up with his girlfriend- sorry, ex-girlfriend- behind his back. It wasn't the sex that made him angry. Truthfully, Jungkook knew the girl was a slut when he agreed to go out with her, so he wasn't surprised. He was only with her was because she was a gymnast. A very flexible gymnast, and Jungkook enjoyed stretching her to her limits.
No, it wasn't the sex that upset him, it was the lies. Jungkook didn't ask for much from the people he chose for friends, just honesty, loyalty, and respect. Lying to him, well, let's just say he doesn't like it.
Jungkook rubbed his throbbing knuckles. He shouldn't have hit Yugyeom so hard, because now his hand was going to hurt probably for the rest of today. He sighed as he finally began ascending the stairs. His next class started soon, and Jungkook was never late to anything. He either showed up on time, or didn't come at all. Jungkook was approaching the third floor when he began hearing quiet whimpers. He stopped on the landing, trying to figure out if the whimpers were from pain or pleasure. He'd seen couples having sex in this very stairwell and it was an experience he did NOT want to repeat.
Before he could discern the nature of the whimpers, they stopped. Jungkook shrugged. Guess they finished. He tried to proceed up the stairs when a short, high-pitched scream stopped him. He looked up, only to see someone tumbling over the banister from the next floor.
Jungkook reacted instantly, his arms moving to catch the kid and his feet sliding apart to steady himself. When he looked down to see who had fallen into his arms, he was shocked to see the frightened face of an angel. Jungkook almost dropped the kid, but caught himself. He opened his mouth, but someone else shouted, "Here's your shit, stupid."
What looked like the entire contents of someone's backpack was dumped over the railing, along with the backpack. The kid squirmed out of Jungkook's grip and knelt on the floor to gather their things. Jungkook stared at the kid who was on all fours, shoving papers into the bag. He wasn't being creepy, he was trying to decide if the person he caught was the smallest, most adorable boy he'd ever seen wearing a skirt, or if they were a short-haired, flatchested girl.
"Oh man, did you see his face when he fell? Priceless!" A chorus of laughs followed that statement as what Jungkook assumed to be the people responsible for pushing the kid over the banister appeared at the top of the steps. They halted and stared. Jungkook rolled his eyes, then shook his head as he looked down. He was surprised to find the the boy- he figured he was a boy now because of what the others said- was gone. He must have ran off without Jungkook noticing. He sighed and looked up to find the group still staring.
"I'd be more than happy to pose for a picture so you can stare at that instead," Jungkook snapped. His words shook the group out of their stupor.
"Sorry. Just wondering if you were Jeon Jungkook?" One of them said.
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Nothing. Just wondering."
The group at the top of the stairs had four people in it, three boys and one girl. The girl stepped forward, biting her lip. She'd heard of the second year bad boy Jungkook, but the rumors couldn't compare to reality. Jungkook's tatted muscles bulged under his tight black t-shirt and his face was set in a bored expression. The girl sauntered down the steps.
