I woke up to the sound of clashing china. I lay on the sofa that Caden was on last night. I sat up seeing no sign of him. Dariella lay on the other sofa, still sleeping. I looked toward the kitchen, hearing clatter. I stood up, wiping my eyes and pushing my hair to one side. I wondered into the kitchen. Sapphire was boiling the kettle when I came in, three mugs laid out on the counter. She turned to see me. "Morning." She stated. I smiled, drearily. "Sleeping on the sofa isn't good for your neck, you know." She continued. I rubbed the back of my aching neck.

"Hadn't noticed." I said, sarcastically. She smiled, pouring the water into the mugs. I sat down on the kitchen chair.

"Hot chocolate helps." She claimed, stirring the contents of each mug. I smiled.

"Thanks."

"Who's your friend?" Sapphire asked. I yawned.

"Dariella, I stopped her killing herself last night." I whispered. Sapphire stopped stirring. She approached me.

"What?!" She whispered, inches from my ear.

"Don't judge." I said. She sighed, heavily.

"You don't know what happens to you if you start stopping the deaths!" She hissed.

"Well, maybe I'm sick of waiting for people to die!" I returned.

"You are so frustrating! Why can't you just keep you head down!" She rumbled. I stood up from the chair.

"If you could stop people dying, wouldn't you?" I yelled. She gave me a 'don't go there' look. "I'm serious, wouldn't you?"

"Not if I didn't know exactly what I was doing." She said. I sighed.

"You'll never know unless you try." I pointed. She looked away.

"You can't just play with these things." She groaned.

"She can heal people." I said, finally.

"Who?"

"Dariella." I confirmed.

"We should not be getting involved in all of this." She turned to the counter, placing her hands on it in despair.

"We can save lives!"

"No!" She whipped around, "no, we are not playing superhero, we don't get involved, okay? As soon as she's up, she can have a hot chocolate then she's gone." She huffed, spinning around, grabbing two of the hot chocolates, placing one before me and walking out with the other. I sighed. I placed my finger into the hot chocolate, it was hot. I let a tear fall down my face. I hated arguing with Saf over this. She could never understand, but it wasn't her fault.

"Kiara?" A small voice said. I turned, Dariella stood in the doorway. I quickly wiped the tear from my cheek.

"Sorry, there's a hot chocolate on the side," I pointed. She smiled, wandering slowly over and picking up the mug. She took a sip.

"I don't want to get in between, you and your sister." She whispered, finally. I sighed.

"How much did you hear?" I asked, ashamed.

"It's ok to want to do something good with what you've been given." She whispered. I smiled lightly.

"She's just trying to protect me, and she's right, I don't know what happens to me if I save people, I could die. I'm just tired of feeling helpless." I told her. She smiled.

"Tell me about it." She had this glow about her this morning. She seemed happier. I guess that's not surprising, but she seemed like a different person.

"Anyway, you seem better this morning?" I questioned.

"I guess I am, hadn't really thought about it, for once." She laughed. I smiled.

"Good."
