Prologue

"A-alam ko namang h-hindi ka m-magiging a-akin. I-i just w-wanted to l-let you know t-that I love you and seeing you h-hurt like this, i-it hurts me too. C-crush lang dapat kita. Nothing more, n-nothing less. A-ayaw kong m-maging tayo. I'm satisfied to s-see you happy e-even if you share your h-happiness sa ibang tao. B-basta masaya ka."

I started hyperventilating. Ugh. Ayaw ko talagang umiiyak. Its as if you're asking for sympathy. I quickly wiped my tears away.

Bigla niya akong niyakap. Naramdaman kong nag-simula mabasa yung balikat ko. I think she's crying.

"A-are you crying?"

"Yeah," she said with a force laugh.

"I'll wait."

"No, you shouldn't."

"I'll wait! Even if it takes me years. Sa lahat ng tao na na-meet ko, ikaw lang.. Ikaw lang yung nakaintindi sa'kin, nagpasaya sa'kin nang sobra, nagparamdam sa'kin na sobrang mahalaga ako sa isang tao, at yung tao na 'yon, ikaw 'yon."

"T-thats not true. W-what about Sophie?"

"She's just my ex-"

"So now you're turning to me? Ano ako rebound?" Tinulak ko siya palayo.

"Hindi ganon. Na-realize ko lahat nang 'yon, dahil if I were to compare what you did between what Sophie and my other exes did with me, they were all because of their selfish desires."

"P-paano kung someone better came to your life? Syempre, you'd leave." I forced a smile. No, I shouldn't, but I still did.

"Pinangunahan mo ako eh, but I won't promise, because I will do it. I'll prove it."

"Sure." I did not force a smile, I had to show how I truly feel. Poker face lang ganon.

"Yieee, ngingiti na 'yan. Come on, Miggy. Plus, if crush mo lang talaga ako, you wouldn't be crying right here in front of me and declaring your love for me."

"Wha-No! I always tell you I love you-"

"Pero sa chat lang 'yon. This time its quite different." She took my hand and placed it on her chest. I felt her heart beating so fast.

I felt my face grew warm. I immediately retrieved my hand back and pulled up my scarf to hide my face.

"Oh come on, Migs."

"Hmph."

"Yieee. Kinilig."

She gave me a bear hug. It was a warm one. Honestly, kinikilig ako.

"Cute mo."

I felt my face grow redder.

And yes, that is the prologue. The problem is if I am still going to continue it. Comment kayo ha. I need your opinions.
