Day 11

Four days has been marked off.

It's only been a few days since their last encounter, but within those days, there was never a time where they weren't absorbed into each others phones texting one another as if their lives depended on it.

Their messages towards each other were always filled with witty remarks, subtle flirting, and more flirting, primarily by Lisa. Which would consistently leave Jennie as red as her favorite fruit, strawberry. And the thought of the fruit had instantly made her crave for a strawberry milkshake, leading her to grab her favorite novel and head straight to the diner.

Entering the diner and hearing the familiar chime, Jennie immediately felt at ease. She smoothly lifts her hand up and sends a short, but useless, wave towards the waitresses that still refuse to send a genuine smile her way before seating herself down on the booth that is considered to be hers.

Jennie and her friends grew up in this diner and always sat at the exact same booth, which is why she was also close to the owner who was considered to be like their grandmother. Jennie lifts her head and chuckles towards the older woman who sends her a knowing wink as she begins to make her usual milkshake.

She gazes back down and smiles softly while opening her novel to enter her own little world. But, since she was completely engrossed into the romantic tragedy, Jennie had yet to notice the sound of the bell echoing throughout the empty diner.

"I'm seriously starting to believe that I have a beautiful stalker on my hands." Hearing a smooth mischievous voice being made from behind had caused Jennie to flinch in surprise, but knowing who the voice belonged to had created a small smile to be painted onto her lips.

Jennie turns around and immediately locks her gaze with familiar giant brown eyes that always leaves her heart racing. Seeing Jennie's smile, Lisa's grin widens as she makes her way towards her favorite brunette.

With excitement settled on her features, Lisa flops herself down on the seat across from Jennie and instantly rests her elbow on the table and places her chin on her palm. Jennie playfully rolls her eyes and closes the book that she was no longer interested in reading.

"Well technically, through my perspective, I was here first. So shouldn't I be the one concerned for my well being?" Jennie teasingly asks. Lisa chuckles with a light nod and nonchalantly replies,"Makes sense." Jennie raises her eyebrows in amusement,

"Did you just admit that you're stalking me?" Lisa gasps and imitates a look of utter disbelief while placing her hands on her chest,

"I am deeply offended by that accusation. Is it so hard to believe that I just so happen to be craving for a milkshake from this specific diner?" She asks. Jennie teasingly narrows her eyes, sending the woman across from her a pointed look, causing Lisa to laugh and wave her hands dismissively,

"Jokes aside, I actually did come by to see if you were here. And it seems like luck is on my side today." Lisa comments. Jennie stiffens and feels a light blush coat her cheeks as her heart begins to hammer against her chest. She still hasn't been able to familiarize herself with Lisa's confidence. The brunette awkwardly clears her throat and lets out a breathy chuckle,

"Charming." She responds. Lisa grins and simply shrugs,

"It's one of my best personality trait." Before Jennie could argue, one of the dull waitresses lazily walks towards the booth and wordlessly places the milkshake in front of Jennie before mumbling out, 'enjoy' and walking away. Jennie and Lisa watch the waitress leave in amusement before facing each other and laughing lightly.
