"Nobody will notice, lets get out of here."
This is a flashback chapter to give you a little bit of a background on Adelaide.

Breathe in, breathe out. An even pattern. I am aware of my breathing, shallow, quiet, and slow. The calming sight of a willow tree's graceful branches swaying in the wind. The afternoon sun's rays cascade through the leaves, casting a single, warm ray across my fingertips. The relaxing sound of the gentle breeze rolling through the meadow and across my face. The bright blue and hardly cloudless sky is almost blinding. As the blue fades into a light pink and purple gradient. I blink. Once. Twice. I smile at a mother bird returning to her nest to feed her newly hatched chicks. The whole setting makes my steady heart flutter.
I can feel the Earth moving; at least I think I can, if I'm just still enough, just quiet enough. In this moment, I am aware of everything. Colors seem more vivid, colors I feel I've never seen before. As i sink further into the soft, lush, meadow grass. My body feels elevated, like I'm floating. And for the first time in a while, I feel truly happy.
