"Ben, could you spare a minute?" I was shocked that I could even manage to get the words out. They were soft and timid, so I wasn't even positive he heard me. Due to a shift in his posture, I could tell he did, he just chose to ignore me. I felt annoyed, but pushed it down inside me. There's no way it would improve the situation. "Ben, c'mon. Can we please?"

I heard a long sigh. Ben turned around begrudgingly, wearing an unenthusiastic look on his face. His face. I could look at him all day and never get tired. It gave me butterflies all throughout my stomach. This boy, I swear. "What is it that you want, Alycia?"

"Ben, I want to apologize. Truly. I've been acting like a child. I had one awful relationship in the past, and since then I've self-sabotaged every possible relationship I could have had after him. I now realize that I don't want to lose any more because of him. Before you, it wasn't all too worth it. It is now. You make it worth it." I felt like I was pouring my whole heart and soul out to him, but he wore an almost bored expression.

"Alycia..." he began. I was afraid of letting him speak. I had no idea how he'd react, so I just figured I'd keep talking to avoid it.

"Shush. I have more to say." Ben's eyes expanded, but then nodded. "I know it's not excuse to treat others poorly, but I was treated like garbage by the last man I was with, so I'm scared. I'm scared, but my want to be with you is stronger. I shouldn't have been so hesitant-"

"Alycia." He interrupted again. This boy has no manners. Good god.

"Not finished!" I told him. "I'm so sorry if it seemed like I was using you. I do care, I do want this, but I was-"

He cut me off again, but this time not with words. His hands grabbed my cheeks as he pulled my face close and he kissed me. My cool cheeks became burning hot. If he interrupted me like this before, I wouldn't have been opposed. His lips were soft, but he kissed me passionately. "I'm sorry." He said after we parted.

"Don't be sorry for kissing me."

"Oh, darling. I'm not sorry for that." He let out a small laugh before becoming more serious. "I should have been more patient. You don't me what you had gone through." I shushed him quickly.

"You know, we could just forgive each other." I said, a small smiling growing on my lips. Stop that, Alycia.

He caught on to what I was saying. He smirked, taking my hand and kissing it, sending chills down my spine. "Will you forgive me enough to come with me on a date?"

   "Absolutely."

I didn't think this was good. It's just a scene that had to be done in a formal writing style. I usually write in the 3rd person too, but I chose Alycia's POV for this one. I hope you enjoyed anyway!
