The next morning, they all woke up well rested and wide awake. Suddenly, Sophie perked up. "Is that mallowmelt I smell?" she asked. "Yes, it is," said Della, walking in with a tray full of small cups for everyone, spoons, and a large bowl for seconds, thirds, and in Keefe's case: fourths. Fitz leaned over and whispered something in Sophie's ear as she was eating, causing her to start choking. "Come on, man! What did you do this time?" asked Keefe. "Just asked her to come up to my room with me for a couple minutes?" Fitz said, confused. Biana, however, was positively beaming. Fitz got up and offered his hand to Sophie, who took it, and pulled her up from the cushion she was sitting on.

Fitz led her upstairs and into his room. Sophie was surprised at how clean it was. Everything had a place and was there. Fitz turned to look at her and said, "Um, Sophie... How do I say this?" "Say what?" she asked. "Alright. Here goes. Sophie, I really like you. I have since we first met. You're beautiful and brave and kind and caring," he blurted out, blushing. "Fitz..." Sophie said. "Oh... I'm embarrassed now... I shouldn't have told!" he said, then turned and punched the wall. Sophie grabbed his fist and he winced. She led him to his bathroom and started searching for supplies to clean his bloodied hand up.  She searched the cabinets, and, finally, Fitz asked her, "Do you need some help?" "Yes, please." Sophie told him everything she needed one by one and Fitz told her where to find each one.

Once Sophie had cleaned up his knuckles, she sat next to Fitz on the bed. She leaned over and put her head on his shoulder. He loosened up at her touch and she turned her head up and looked into those gorgeous teal eyes. Fitz looked into those chocolate eyes and saw the gold shimmering. Sophie smiled at him. "Fitz... I like you too," said Sophie. Fitz looked down at her and saw the truth glimmering in her eyes. Sophie looked at him and snuggled closer to him. "What are we going to tell them?" Sophie asked. " We'll just tell them," Fitz said, confidently. Sophie gulped. "When?" "Whenever you're ready," Fitz said, barely audible.

They sat in silence until Alden came up to tell Sophie it was time for her to leap home. She gave Fitz a hug, then went downstairs and said goodbye to everyone else. She leaped to Havenfield and walked into the house. She was dreading telling Grady, but maybe if Fitz did it with her she would be okay. Sophie went upstairs and began studying.

Sorry. This was an important chapter for me and it was longer from the last update because I wasn't sure how to write it. Me, personally, I hate insta-love so that is not going to happen. There may be some scenes that go a little farther than kissing but not so far as to be rated M. I don't like those stories, because I feel like Fitz wouldn't do that to Sophie. I will warn you if you don't like that kind of stuff, but it will be there, eventually. Please leave constructive criticism and leave comments on where you think this is going. This will, probably, be a VERY long story, so be prepared. I'm trying to update as much as possible, but I may fall behind, because of semester changes. Thanks for reading and please continue to support me! I appreciate all the comments and nice things you say!
