"You're—"
"Grell Sutcliffe!!" Ciel finished for Sebastian. I raised my eyebrows into my hairline and stared in awe. This man was dressed in so much red that my eyes felt like they were throbbing. My mouth fell, gaping and catching flies.
"Yes!~" he sang. "Long time no see, Bassy!"
Oh, the pet name...
"It must be fate to meet again here!" he continued flamboyantly. I covered my mouth and turned away so not to laugh.
"It's just a coincidence," Sebastian assured the man. I openly laughed a little at this, covering it with a cough so not to get into too much trouble later on. I could already feel a knot on my head from where Sebastian will smack me.
"Ah!" Grell exclaimed, clasping his hands and blushing madly. "So cold! That side of you is lovely as always!"
I smirked and looked back at Sebastian. He seemed unamused. "That chilling side of him is pretty dashing, don't you think?"
Sebastian gave me a chilly stare, and I stuck my tongue out at him playfully. "Hehe."
"Ronald!!" Grell interrupted. "Please tell me sooner when Bassy is around!! I would have put more effort into my makeup!!"
"I didn't tell you, because that's exactly what I thought you'd say," he commented, also very unamused. This Grell character really was quite the interesting monkey wrench to be thrown into our plan. Doused in red and sharp edges, Grell was quite the sight to behold. I was mesmerized by his appearance almost to the point of missing my ticket off this sinking ship. I turned around in time to see Sebastian running off with the lord and lady. I followed behind them.
"Anyway, you— AH!!" I tensed and watched as the red reaper leapt over our quartet and landed between ourselves and the door. Sebastian grabbed the young lord and lady, holding the lady in his arm gingerly and gripping the lord around his waist. I dodged with him, nimble on my feet. I felt adrenaline coursing through my veins like fire and electricity. "Wait up there, will you!!" The chainsaw came down in front of us where we once stood. I breathed heavily, eyes wide and wild.
"Setting my body and fire and then neglecting me..." Grell pouted, a genuine smirk on his face. "How mean."
"Please refrain from catching on fire by yourself," was Sebastian's sarcastic response. I couldn't help but snort. It was getting difficult to hide these blunders. "We need to hurry on, so could you please open the way?"
The man laughed darkly, prepared himself with a fighting stance. "And if I say no?"
Sebastian grew dark, eyes narrowed and red. I shivered at the sight. "I'll have to use force." I looked away from him, hiding a blush. It was unbearably obvious. I closed my eyes and tried to still my heart for a moment.
'What is this feeling...' I thought to myself.
"Someone has the hots for the demon, eh?"
A hand shoved me away, and I found myself narrowly missing a chainsaw. The ends of my hair were snipped clean off, and I realized the consequences of falling into the chain's path. Standing, I ran to Ciel and Elizabeth while the two creatures fought.
"My lo—"
"Ah, ah~" a voice called. Ronald appeared beside me. He put his scythe in my way, blocking my path. "I knew there was something different about you." He leaned toward my ear. "You're—"
"No!!"
I looked back at Sebastian as he cried out, his eyes massive. The reaper's scythe had sliced a crack into the window, causing a pool of water to gush into the room. We were swept into the hall. I found myself yards away from the young master and his fiancée. When I had enough strength to lift my head and observe the scene, Sebastian was occupied with a reaper. Ronald. That pretty boy was getting on my nerves with each moment I spent with him.
