Fitz nervously fingered the small turquoise box he was holding and shook brightly colored Panakes petals out of his hair. Inside the box was an important piece of jewelry, specifically made for his girlfriend. A ring, to be specific. What if Sophie doesn't come? What if she forgets to meet me?  Leaning against the braided bark of Calla's Panakes tree, he began to worry. Was she okay?

Much to Fitz's relief, Sophie came racing towards him, out of breath and covered in dinosaur fluff. "Sorry! *pant* I had *pant* to go and help *pant* Grady with the *pant* dinosaurs *pant*." Fitz laughed. Sophie looked as adorable as ever, fluff tangled in her hair. Then her face went serious. "What did you want me here for again?"

Fitz froze. Momentarily he had forgotten about the reason he called her here. "I um, wanted to ask, um, you about something." He mumbled. Sophie frowned. It wasn't normal to see the usually confident, smiling Fitz stuttering and looking around nervously. "Okay, ask away." Sophie said uncertainly.

"Sophie, this might not be the best time to ask, but.." he dropped to one knee and asked, "Will you marry me?" presenting the ring to her. Sophie covered her mouth with her hands to stop her from letting out an ear-splitting screech and tears of joy. Fitz's teal eyes widened. "I mean, I was just asking, you don't have to, it's just that we've been dating for a long time and-" Sophie's hands gave way and she squealed, "YES FITZ!!!! YES!!!!"

Fitz almost fainted that very moment. This was actually happening. The most beautiful person in the world, his girlfriend, had just agreed to marry him. Quickly recomposing himself, he slipped the diamond and ruby ring on her finger. Sophie smiled widely. "We should tell the others, shouldn't we?" she asked. Fitz nodded. "Yes, we should."

"Mom? I'm home." Sophie called. Edaline's voice rang out from upstairs. "I'm coming!" in a few moments Edaline walked down the stairs. "What is it?" Sophie smiled. "Fitz asked me to marry him

A week later, after, she had told her parents, Sophie hailed Biana. Not in person, she had decided. She did not need to be strangled in a hug. Biana's pretty face appeared on the screen. "Hi Sophie! What's up?" she greeted her. Sophie smiled. "Well.. I'm getting married." Biana squealed. "To who?I bet it's Fitz. OMG you make such a cute couple!!! CanIplease pleaseplease helpyougetreadyanddoyourhair andpickyouawedding dressokaygreatI'mhailingLinhandMarellabye!!!!!!!!!" Biana's face disappeared.

Sophie suppressed a sigh. Even after 5 years Biana would not change. She was still the same energetic beauty queen that all her friends knew she was.

Fitz had told his parents that he was marrying Sophie. They (obviously) approved. Sophie already said that she was going to tell Biana, so he didn't have to. Then, he hailed his close friends and told them to leap to Everglen ASAP. Keefe had begged him to tell why, but Fitz insisted he tell him when he got there. As soon as Keefe, Tam, and Dex arrived, Fitz rushed them up to his room. "I have something important to tell all of you." Keefe raised an eyebrow. "So spill it, Fitz! I wanna know." Tam and Dex nodded in agreement. Fitz took a deep breath. "Some of you may be a little upset, but.. I'm marrying Sophie."

Dex's mouth dropped open. Tam remained expressionless (like always). And Keefe broke the silence. "You're lucky to have Foster with ya, buddy!" he laughed. Tam smiled. Which was very rare. "Congratulations. " he said. Dex had a slightly hurt look on his face. "Good for you, Wonderboy." Fitz winced. Had he offended Dex that much?

Then Dex's expression changed entirely. "Come ON, don't you know how to recognize a joke? I'm so happy for you and Sophie!!" he exclaimed. Fitz sighed in relief. "I thought you'd hate me after this." Dex shook his head. "I think I'm over Sophie now. And besides, there's someone else." Tam narrowed his eyes. "Oh really? Who?" Poor Dex began to stutter. "If- if I told you, you- you would probably, uh, kill me."  Keefe smirked. "Oooh, is that embarassment I detect?"

Before Tam could open his mouth, Fitz stepped between them. "ALright!!! Off topic. Can you help me plan out this wedding?" The three elves nodded. Right before Dex left, Tam shot him a look that plainly said I will get you later.

And then Fitz began planning.
