I was angry. No, I was furious. For over a year, Hopper lied directly to my face and as a friend, told me she was gone forever. I didn't understand how he could have been so cruel as to not tell me. 353 days ago, I lost my girlfriend. She sacrificed herself so that our friends, our world, and I could live, and it broke me. For the longest time, I thought that I would never move on, that I couldn't move on. I loved Eleven, and in a moment, I lost her. We didn't have enough time, we should have had more time, but life doesn't work like that. Or maybe it does.

When she walked through the door, my heart sank. At first, I thought my mind was playing tricks on me, that I was seeing things because of how scared I was in that moment. But, there she was. My Eleven. And, god, I didn't even hesitate to run into her arms. I pushed past everyone, not thinking about anything but being held in her arms again. 353 days without her, thinking that she was dead, mourning over her memory, and there she was. Alive and well.

El caught me in her arms and we both cried for a minute before I pulled from her and quickly kissed her. "I thought you were dead..." I said to her. "I missed you so much."

"I know," she told me. "I missed you every day." El leaned in and kissed me again, "I'm not going anywhere any time soon. I won't leave you again, I promise. And friends don't lie."

I laughed at her, "Your English is much better." We both blushed before she hugged me again. "I never thought I'd see you again..."

"I'm here now."

"Where did you go? You were dead... but..."

El shook her head, "I couldn't contact you."

I raised an eyebrow, "Why?"

"Because I wouldn't let her." Hopper said, stepping forwards. I parted from El, stepping to her side and held her hand."What is this? Where the hell have you been, kid?" he asked.

"Where have you been?" she snapped, "You didn't signal that you'd be late, so I left."

"Oh, my..." Mike began. Then, he grew angry, "You've been hiding her? All this time, and you've been hiding her?!" Mike shoved Hopper angrily to get his attention. "An entire year you've been lying to all of us? El's been alive this entire time, and you didn't tell us!" Mike shoved Hopper again. "We were broken without her! Me and [y/n/n] and have been a mess without her, and yet you didn't tell us!"

Hopper stared down Mike, "Not here, kid."

I held tightly onto El's arm as Hopper dragged Mike into a different room to talk. Eleven looked to me and pressed her forehead against mine. "Like I said, I'm never leaving you again. Promise."

"Promise," I repeated with a smile, then kissed her.
