~ Eight years before Sunset was 16 ~
I was awoken by the loud chimes of the warning bell, yelling me that an intruder was in the castle. I sensed the strong magic of Merlin near by, and I slowly climbed out of my bed and to my feet, grabbing a small belt with a knife hilt, the knife firmly placed in it. Not bothering to get changed, I ran out of my room, and toward my brother, Arthur, and his servant, Merlin. I saw a small figure running, and pulled out one of my small knife from the its hilt. I drew back my aim, and forcefully threw the knife. I heard a yelp of pain, and a metalic sound tearing through skin. I squinted my eyes, seeing that I had gotten the small figure in the leg. When I saw the small figure was heading to the forest, I grabbed Arthur's sword, forcefully from his hands, and ran after the figure.
Eventually, I found the small figure, holding their deep wound the knife left on their now bloody thigh. I gripped my brother's sword tightly in my hands. The small figure let out a scream, and I felt a force sending me back hard into the bast of a tree, My brother's sword being thrown from my hands. I forced myself to my feet, feeling my lower chest swelling lightly, knowing some of the ribs were fractured. " A wizard? " I muttered, pain evident in my voice.
The small figure looked up at me with wide eyes, full of fear. I could tell now, from up close, this figure was a small male, with dark, chocolate coloured hair, and piercing blue eyes. He went to open his mouth again for another scream, but I quickly covered his mouth. " Silence, I won't tell. " I muttered. He looked at me, and gave a reluctant nod. I slowly uncovered his mouth, smiling a little, hiding my pain. " I'm Sunset. Who are you? " I asked, tilting my head in the slightest. " M-Mordred. " The boy, Now identified as Mordred, replied to me. I gave a light nod. " Are you wizard? " I asked. " Druid. " He muttered in reply.
" Lady Sunset?! " I heard an echoing shout of Merlin's voice clearly. I looked at Mordred, calmly placing my hand on his wound. (1)" Whakaorangia. " I said, softly, feeling my eyes glow a faint golden colour. I watched as the wound closed up, and smiled. Mordred looked at me. " A-A witch? " he asked. " Go, before they find you. " I said. I helped him up, and ushered him deeper into the forest. I grabbed my small knife, and put it into it's hilt, and picked up Arthur's sword. I began to run toward the village, holding my fractured ribs. " Lady Sunset?! " I heard Merlin's voice echo again. " Merlin! " I shouted in reply, but shouting also made it painfully hard to breath. I heard footsteps, until I saw My brother and Merlin. I smiled, happily. " Merlin! Arthur! " I ran to them and hugged them, softly, my smile growing on my face.
" Are you okay? " Arthur asked, worry evident in his voice. " Yes, I'm fine, Arthur. I fell and hurt my ribs though. " I admitted. Arthur sighed, and hugged me softly, placing a soft kiss on the top of my head. " Don't you leave me, Sister. You're all I have other than father. You're too precious to me and our father. " he muttered. " I know, Arthur. " I muttered, softly, in reply. A small smile played on his lips. " Good, Stay safe, my little princess. " he said. " Okay, My older prince. " I replied back, though one name was on my mind.............
Mordred.

Hey guys! Finally updated this! I will just give you some breif information!
1. Whakaorangia Means Heal in the language of Maori. I made Sunset have this language of magic because I think it has more of a mystical feel to it.
