Hey...
Wake up...
Mr. Sakurai...
Mr. Sakurai...
Mr. Sakurai!
"Just five more minutes... *Snore*"
Wake up!
"Ah, what is it?", I ask now wide awake from the yelling of my colleague. "Well sir, the World of Light stages seem to have some bugs in them. We need your help to fix the errors, sir", said the employee standing in front of my desk. I am Masahiro Sakurai of Sora Ltd. I am the lead programmer and executive producer of the Super Smash Brothers franchise. As of right now, we are fixing the bugs within the newly released Super Smash Bros. Ultimate 'World of Light' adventure mode.
"Whew, another bug fixed within the game. We will apply it as a patch next week along with the character fixes." I told my fellow programmers. I then decided I needed a break from programming today and left early. When I reached home, I immediately went straight to bed.
Why do I feel a cold all of a sudden? Did I leave the window open? Wait a second, I never opened any windows. I wake up to find myself not in my bed but rather in what seems to be a sand-filled wasteland. "Where is this?", I say as I get up off of the ground and onto my feet.
I take an observant look around the wasteland to spot something pink flee behind a rock. I thought to myself, "I wonder what that was? I better go check it out." And I then approached the rock to see a familiar pink puffball. It was Kirby? "Um, hello." I instinctively greeted him.
Poyo.
Not much for words, huh. "Do you know where this is?", I ask in hopes of clarification. Kirby then gets up and walks away while waving his hand. I think he wants me to follow him. I go and follow to a cliffside to see a sight before my very eyes. It looked exactly like the view that Kirby sees in the World of Light opening cutscene. Wait, if this is what I'm seeing then that means. I'm in the story of the World of Light. "This must be a dream.", I began to pinch my cheek. I'm still here. What does this mean? In light of the situation, I find a blaster nearby. Maybe someone lost it, I should hold onto this for now.
If I can't wake up yet, does this mean I have something to do here? I hope it doesn't take too long, I have work tomorrow morning at 8. Kirby, who I met just a little while ago began to move down the mountain. "Kirby, wait up!" I then proceed down the mountain alongside him.
This looks like this journey will take a while. But this is a journey of a lifetime. I may as well make the most of it.
And this was the start of a new journey into the unknown.
