The duo walked out of the portal very roughed up after two years in that hell

Alyssia- "Everything was well, hell there were these things that kept chasing us and every time we get knocked out or passed out it would cause an intense pain upon waking up and now we are used to it and it had extreme temperature increases or decreases and we had to sleep on spikes, we endured everything, without complaining and gotten stronger"

Gene- "That's correct as we trained hard very hard, and we bathed in acid also we couldn't stop or else it would cause an unbearable pain as if everything was on the line"

Darwin- "Wow that is really is a hell"

Gene- "Indeed it is"

Alyssia- "How then?"

Darwin- "That's where I come in as am a former Divine horn"

Gene spits out his tea in disbelief

Gene- "Hold up you are a former divine horn?"

Darwin- "Indeed I am however I have lost some stats since I have not been in combat but I should be able to take down the weaker Divine horns with some ease however you will take down the strong guys"

Alyssia- "Alright but how should we plan this attack?"

Darwin- "Strike at night move among the shadows, but be careful of specialized magic users like you with mutations the ones without mutations will not be the ones you should look out for poison lightning, Black steel and the Aether user will be your biggest concern as his magic doesn't have any weaknesses however he doesn't have any advantages against non-artificial magic and both of yours are natural but anything like poison lightning will easily get canceled out by Aether so the both of you will be fine"

Gene- "What are their levels?"

Darwin- "The lower divine horns with normal elemental magic are less than three hundred and the strongest one which is the Aether user is level three hundred fifty so you will be evenly matched"

Gene- "I see and yours?"

Darwin- "Three hundred ten with ash magic"

Alyssia- "And when do we strike?"

Darwin- "The day after tomorrow on a full blood moon"

Gene- "Hmm seems legit"

Darwin- "Since this is our one and only chance to end this empire's corruption I might as well supply all of us with magic weapons so pick one of your choosing"

Darwin- "Curses are well a primitive form of magic as you can become said element like lava so guns and melee weapons won't work only strong magic or another curse"

Darwin- "Am pretty sure you have more combat experience than most of the divine horn so I think you will do just fine"

Gene- "Hopefully you're right or else we might get our asses beat"

Alyssia- "Yep and also Darwin do you know why this empire is corrupted?"

Darwin- "Well to put it bluntly the entire empire is well a puppet state"

Alyssia- "Well who's controlling this empire?"

Darwin- "Well let me explain, Ahem so about two hundred years ago the empire was born from multiple villages joining a alliance and they decided they needed a ruler a king of which they had and had a war with a southern nation like one now and that nation is the elven nation of Larende and then we lost so when we did lose the elven king wanted all this territory
And the king did not want his people to die so they made an agreement that they would have a fake war so the king's nation would not get raided and ransacked and to not raise suspicions of other nations stronger nations, and since elves live for a very long time they still have the same king and our king lives in fear and he has to do false corruption even though he doesn't want to and that is why nation is quote on quote corrupted"

Alyssia- "Wow that is messed up"

Gene- "Sure is so am going to assume that even the divine horns can't beat the elves is that correct

Darwin- "That is correct as the elves elite guards alone are enough to take them out as the strongest I heard was around level 500, and the divine horns cannot disobey the king so you will have to kill them"

Alyssia- "What a cruel fate"

Gene- "It looks like we'll have to get stronger and train harder than in that dimension of yours"

Darwin- "Yeah that's for sure so you two get some rest for tomorrow as it's going to be one hell of a day"

Gene/Alyssia- "Right!"

Marlin- "They certainly kick ass so they might have be a challenge Jack

Jack- "Hmm perhaps but I must assemble the rest so wait here pack everything up as we have one day to get to the Capitol so get ready"
