Lizzie's POV

I stared at Taylor, studying her blank expression. To my eyes, Taylor was kind and thoughtful. To others, she was a stereotypical popular "bitch." I would say their words are rather harsh. Some new kids even whispered about her, saying that she was mean. They havent even talked nor met her yet?! Even if I can barely speak over a whisper to others, I was about to stand up to those meanies. But Taylor stopped me, saying that it wasn't worth it.

I sighed, as I played with my ice cream. I made little swirls with the strawberry and chocolate sauce. I took a scoop and swallowed the cool, vanilla taste. I stared at the ground as I noticed something on Taylor's foot.

"Taylor? What's that?" I asked pointing to her ankle.

"Oh, it's a tattoo. Got it two years ago. Kind of regret it." Taylor said lifting her foot up for me to see the tattoo. It was a wing. This pretty much suits Taylor's life. She likes to live, yet she still has some things weighing her wing. But, that doesn't stop her other wing to fly.

"I'm guessing you know what it meant." I nodded back, finally looking up. She sighed and continued to eat her ice cream.

"Wasn't that a bit harsh?"

"What? Oh." She said shutting her mouth.

"Well, some guys need to learn that there isn't always a happily ever after." She said rolling her eyes.

Happily ever after.

Happily ever after.

Happily ever after.

This kept ringing in my ears. It felt as if, there were a connection with Taylor and these words. I feel like, she has heard this in the past.
