this is my favourite memory of us.

it was the night i asked her to be mine.

everything was planned and ready to go.

there were rose petals trailing from her doorstep. down to the beach were we first met.

candles were arranged in a heart, and the rose petals were spelled out into a phrase that will forever be burned into my memory;

"will you be mine?"

i stood in the centre of it all,

and when my confidence had soared i texted her to look outside.

i waited in the moonlight,

and the only sounds that could be heard was the soft sounds of the waves lapping at the beach's edge.

she looked so beautiful,

like an angel was sent to me from heaven.

she rushed to me and pulled me into an embrace with a tender kiss.

"of course i'll be yours baby. the only thing that could stop me would be the death of me."
