Chapter 1-Break Ups and Multiheaded Monsters.

"No Nico! Just no!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs, tears threatening to stain my cheeks.

He was leaving me. I should probably back this up a bit. It all started on a regular school day. I was talking to my friend Leo. All if a sudden a shrill scream rang through the air.

Then came a growl. I took off towards the source. I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Don't, I'll go."

With that Leo took off. I followed some slack behind. I saw him disappear into the gym, closing the doors behind him. Carefully I propped the door open. Inside I saw one of the weirdest scenes ever.

There stood a humongous beast. It had multiple heads. Down below I saw a girl, unconscious, by it's feet. Something else caught my eye. Standing by the horrific beast was Leo and someone else I couldn't make out.

I moved closer trying to see who it was without letting them know I was there. What I saw amazed me. Nico was standing there, fighting with Leo. He was swinging a black sword towards the beast. One of the beasts many heads swung down at them.

"LOOK OUT!" I screamed just in time. Nico ducked, right as the head sliced past him. He thought fast and whirled around, chopping off the beast's head with his sword. I screamed in fear. How? What? Nico turned and his eyes widened as if he had just now noticed me.

"Elle! Get out of here!" I shook my head, I wasn't going to leave them. Leo parted his hands and a flame ignited. Focusing on the task at hand he aimed and shot the fire right at the stump where Nico had cut off the head. Okay so Leo had just created fire, with his bare hands. What?! Okay, I must seriously have been loosing my mind. I put my head in my hands and curled up in a ball on the floor. Slightly rocking back and forth I mumbled to myself: This can't be happening, this can't be happening. I must be going crazy.

A hand wraped around my arm and pulled me up. My eyes fluttered open and I sawthe beast gone and Nico holding my arm. I yanked my arm out of his grip and glared at him.

"What was that?! And don't think about lying to me Nico Di Angelo, what was that thing?!"

He just looked at me, a dead glare in his eyes.

"What are you doing here? I thought Leo told you to wait outside of the gym?!"

Was he mad? Was he seriously mad at me for saving his life?

"I saved your life and you are yelling at me?! That's low di Angelo!" Tears threatened to spill through any second.

"Elle what you did was one of the stupidest things ever. Being with you was probably the worst choice I've ever made. You will just end up hurting yourself."

And now back to the present "No Nico just no!!" I scream at the top of my lungs, tears threatening to stain my cheeks. He can't do this.

"It's for the best Elle. Besides you were able to see the beast. Your not normal." With that he walks away leaving me there. I look at Leo. Sadness is in his eyes. I turn on my heel and rush away before a single tear falls.

I rush out of Goode Highschool determined to never come back. Familiar streets pass by me but it's all a blurr. I burst into my foster home and rush up to my room. CLICK. The lock shuts. I curl up in a ball on my bed. Then comes the waterworks. He left me. He really left me. And he didn't even think about it twice. I move to my closet shoving clothes and money into my backpack. Tonight I leave.
