"Wow Jess you look amazing!" He blushed.
"Thanks I could say the same to you. Nice tie." I grabbed his tie and pulled him closer to me and quickly kissed him. Snatching the box from his hands.
"That's for you." He smiled as he spoke. He put his hands over top of mine as I opened the lip.
Inside were a tiny pair of silver ghost earrings with green gem eyes. They were beautiful.
I took them out of the box and put them in my ears. I pulled my hair back so Danny could see.
"How do they look?" I smiled and blushed nervously.
"Amazing!" He blushed and smiled back.
We both stood in silence for what felt like forever before I spoke up.
"I better leave a note for my parents, come in, I will be a moment."
Danny walked in as I ran to the kitchen and scribbled out a note telling my parents where I was going and what time I was going to be back.
I grabbed five dollars from the table my parents had left for the entrance fee and meet Danny back at the door.
"Ready?" He asked.
"Ready!" I replied.
His parents couldn't bring us and neither could mine so we had planned to walk, but I had a better idea in mind.
I grabbed Danny's hand and turned into my ghostly self. He did the same since I was holding him.
"What are you doing Jess?" He asked frantically.
"Do you really want to walk ALL the way to the dance." I winked as I flew up into the air.
We both flew towards the school up into the sky.
I could feel the cool breeze on my face as we flew. I could see all the houses and tiny people bellow us. Lights and cars, and we were all above it, alone, up high.
We flew just past the school and landed behind the dumpster. We changed back to our "normal" selfs and walked into the school. The smell of BO and perfume hit my nose as we walked in. Typical high school dance, and probably the last one to it is getting close to the end of school.
There were some teachers at the doors taking the money for the fundraiser.
We handed them our money and walked in. Loud music hit my ears as top 40 songs played on re-peat. Inside the gym they had lasers and a dj set up at the front and tables FULL of candy and chips on the other.
"Dang it sure is HOT in here!" Danny yelled over the music.
"Ya welcome to sweat fest 2014 population..us." I snickered at my come back.
"That's not what I meant."
"Oh..." I pecked him on the cheek."I could say the same about you Mr. suite and tie. Rawr."
"Stop your gonna make me blush."
"To late for that." I winked noticing his RED cheeks.
"Hey is that Sam and Tucker?" He asked.
"Ya I think, it's kinda dark in here, let's go see." And with that we walked farther into the mobs.
