I woke up the next day feeling almost like my life is starting to fall into place. The dream I had for myself once is finally coming true. I look at my phone and see an email with graduation details. Only 2 weeks.

I then remember about Flynn and his dinner proposal for tonight.

*Hey, dinner at the Grenada? Whatever time works for you.*

I set my phone down on the bed and get up to run the shower. I hear my phone go off and I go look.

*Sounds great, does 7 work for you?*

*7 is perfect, see you then.*

I hop in the shower and start to blow dry my annoyingly thick and wavy hair and straighten it. I grab some healed booties with dark jeans and a flowy top. After an hour or so I look in the mirror and put a little bit of chapstick on and head out the door.

When I walk in the restaurant I see Flynn already in a booth over on the side. I walk over and take a seat.

"Hey" I say.

"You look beautiful." he says. I can feel the heat in my cheeks.

"So how long will you be in town?" I ask.

"Only for another 2 weeks, the wedding is this weekend and I am staying for some business afterwards." he says.

The server comes up to us with waters and takes down our orders.

"So what kind of business do you have going on?" I ask.

"Just family stuff." he says. Why is it when I ask about his family he gets all blunt.

"Ok well are you excited about it? The wedding I mean." I say.

"Oh yeah it should be a good one, I just don't have a date to it." he says.

"Oh haha yeah." I respond. He looks at me and smirks. Damn, I hope he does that again as I take a sip of my water.

"So tell me, what do you do for a living?" he asks.

"Um well I technically do not have a job just yet because I am actually graduating nursing school in 2 weeks. That's actually why we were at the bar last night, I took my finals yesterday with my best friend Paige and we both passed so we were celebrating." I say.

"Well I have to say I am impressed, you seem to have made a pretty great life for yourself so far." he says.

"Well for me nursing isn't just a job it's my passion. I love to help people, if we want to be specific I really love infants. I hope to get a job soon in a NICU somewhere." I say.

"You seem quite set, I am happy for you." he says.

"Oh well its been a long and hard journey but I did it and that's all that matters." I say. "So what about you, how do you make a living?" I ask. He then looks down to the floor for a moment pondering his response. There is something he's keeping from me but I'm sure whatever it is it isn't too important.

The server then comes up with our food and asks if we need anything else to which we both kindly say no and start to eat.

"Family business you could say." he says. Once again with the blunt response while grabbing a forkful of his mashed potatoes.

"What does your family do?" I ask.

"They just own some property back in my hometown. Nothing too big." he responds. Hmm well at least I got a little something there.

"Well I hope that it prospers well for you. By the looks of it it must be a nice piece of property." I respond looking at his rather expensive looking watch which I think is a Rolex and his very nice attire. What kind of land does this family have? "Do you see your family often?" I ask trying to change the subject. I don't want to come off as pushy to know so much.
