The Monster Underneath

Phobic Monster

There was once a boy named Simon. He was a very 'easy-to-scare' type of boy. He was fifteen years old and was about 5'6. He loved reading horror books even though they used to freak him out.

Simon used to live in a big mansion with his parents and a younger brother named Toby. Thier house was located in a Forest where his father used to work as a Manager of a Wood Supply Company.

Simon had Hylophobia, the fear of woods and trees, which had a great effect on Simon. Simon rarely went out to play and for school his mom used to carry him towards the bus, this effected his social life too. Simon and his family used to refer to this phobia as a 'Monster' which 'destroys wishes'. Simon knew that one day when he grew he will eventually fight this 'monster' and will live a happy life.

Simon's father couldn't change his place. He was managing an entire company and he had a pretty good place to live considering the huge mansion and the amazing swimming pool. 

His dad was against this phobia. He didn't completely believe that Simon really had a phobia he just asssumed that he was scared or something and wanted Simon to overcome this 'fear'.
