Students flooded the Great Hall, class being back in session. Joyus yells and laughter filled the air. I stood at the back of the room, watching the students catch up and greet each other. I watched with a blank face, knowing I only had one friend to see, though tonight was the night he carried out his orders.

I waited to see the blonde haired boy come into the room. When I laid my eyes on him, his eyes were drained, but he lit up when he did see me. I hugged him tightly, smiling. "Draco!" I laughed softly. "Howve you been?" I pulled back, knowing the answer, but exchanging pleasantries.

He gave a half hearted smile, his hands falling to his sides. I could feel Severus looking at us, but I didnt look up to him. My eyes stayed on Draco as he nodded. "Im okay. Could be better." He explained.

We let the conversation fall silent before we took our seats next to each other. There were rumors swarming the school about Draco and I, mostly that we were in a relationship. We had snickered at them when they had been brought up to us. I could say that Draco and I have become close, but there hadnt been anything more than that.

I looked around for Harry and Dumbledore, but they were nowhere to be found. I looked to Severus now. He stood slowly, walking out of the room. I looked to Draco. "Eat something. Itll help you." I whispered, standing up.

"I'll see you tonight?" He asked. I nodded in response, heading out of the room. I walked around to the Professors entrance, seeing Snape waiting for me. I moved to him, standing a couple of feet away from him.

"How do you feel?" His voice was low, trying to keep his facade up.

"I feel fine, Professor." I stated, seeing a student from the corner of my eye. His eyes followed the student, making sure that they had moved passed us.   His hand reached out, taking mine.

"I wanted to check on you," I said. "im worried."

He nodded slowly. "I am, too." His hand removed from mine. "Youll be staying with me tonight." He stated. "I wont have time to retrieve you."

I nodded slowly, leaning up to press a kiss to his cheek.

"Everything is gonna work out."

I was sitting on the couch in Sevs room. I had a book in hand, trying to keep my mind off of everything. My uniform had been folded and laid on the bed on my dorm, I had a shrunken suitcase in my pocket with all of my things in it. It would be a  long while before we came back to Hogwarts.

We wouldnt be welcome after tonight.

Severus looked up to me, and I to him. My arm was burning. I pulled my cloak on, making sure I had my wand secured to my thigh, just at hand level.  It was time. Snape moved towards me, taking my face in his hands. He pressed his lips to mine for a long moment before he pulled me to his chest, apperating us. We landed outside of the Astronomy Tower. I tensed, having not been back here since we were married by Dumbledore. His hand took mine, pulling me into the tower.

We moved silently, finding Harry hiding from Draco, My mother, and a couple other Death Eaters. Snape held his finger up to Harry as he held his wand to him. We moved up to the floor they were on, Dumbledore was standing across from us.

"No," Snape spoke now, both of us coming up behind Draco as he was lowering his wand. My mother looked to me now, her eyes dark and evil. I stayed behind Severus, staying clear of the spell he was to cast.

"Severus," Dumbledore spoke. "please."

I gave one last look to my mentor, the man who had taken me in with no hesitation and helped me understand that I did not have to be like my parents. I swallowed hard as I saw Severus grip his wand tighter in his hand.

"Avada Kedavra." Snapes wand produced a green flash of light, hitting Dumbledore in the chest. He fell back, off of the tower. I kept my eyes down now, knowing if my face were to show emotion, I would be killed by my father when I returned to him.

My mother moved to the edge of the tower, shooting a spell into the sky as she screamed. I stayed put for a long moment. my eyes on Dumbledores body that now laid on the ground, lifeless.

Severus took my hand in his, pulling me with him now, my chest ached as he pulled my down the stairs and back through Hogwarts. He walking in the front, leading the way for us. I walked next to Draco, our eyes never meeting. My mother was destroying things in her path, which seemed to be part of her disrespect towards the school itself.

Once we had gotten down to walk towards Hagrids home, I could hear her voice calling his name before I heard Harrys voice behind us. "Snape! He trusted you!" Severus came to a stop, letting Malfoy and I pass by him, though we turned to look at Harry. My mother was screaming with joy as she sat Hagrids hut up in flames. The glow from the fire allowed me to see Harry properly now. He was angry with Severus.

Sev turned to Draco and I. "Go on," He said. Draco took my hand in his when I didnt move from my place. I didnt want to leave Severus, but I knew he could handle himself. I turned now, Dracos hand in mine as he assisted me down the hill.

Harry shouted spells that I couldnt hear clearly, but Sev blocked them with ease. Bellatrix moved over to Snapes side, shooting a spell at Harry, which knocked him to the ground. Soon, she was back at my side, scowling at Harry. Snape approached Potter as the last spell he had used shocked him when Sev blocked it.

After a few moments, Severus was back with us, taking my hand in his to lead us away.

It seemed all too quick that this had happened.

The war was starting.
