i lay on my bed looking at the ceiling thinking about life. something i seem to do way too often. i'm interrupted by my phone going off

message from: emma

"hey. it's emma, id love to go to the movies with you."

wow. that was fast

"hey. how about friday at 5? we can leave from the coffee shop if that's okay"

my phone went off about 5 minutes after i texted her back

"sounds good. see you soon"

i run downstairs to see the boys sitting on the couch

"i've got a date on friday"

niall winks and reply's to me quite loudly. "our boy is finally making moves"

"who's it with?" zayn never talks. but of course this is when he does

"emma"

"no fucking way"

"mhm." i walk away smirking.

i go back to my room and think for a while then end up falling asleep.

friday. 4:50pm.
emma's pov

after everyone finishes their drinks niall speaks up
"alright. we're leaving."

i go in the back and change out of my work clothes and into what i was gonna wear to the movies. i just chose some leggings and a big sweatshirt and my vans because i didn't wanna be too dressy

i walk to where harry is sitting and sit across from him
"alright i'm tired of waiting on you let's go"

he looks up slightly confused "sorry"

"chill. i'm joking, let's go." i get up and smile at him

he gets up and we walk to the movies. it's only about a 10 minute walk which is nice considering how cold it was outside.

he buys our tickets and i find myself looking at him and smiling like an insane person. he's so just wow. i smile to myself about how sweet he is and then realize he's looking at me when he clears his throat.

"you okay emma?"

"yeah. i'm fine"

we walk into the theater and sit in the very last row. we end up being the only ones for a while so we just sit and talk

"so. i have to ask. what made you wanna bring me to the movies?"

"well"
he looks at his lap then back at me. "if i'm being honest. you're extremely pretty and i wanted to get to know you better."

aw.

"what made you wanna say yes?"

i laugh lightly.

"well. if i'm being honest"
i mock him and he just smiles.

am i annoying?

"you're very sweet and i thought id give it a go"

"okay. wasn't what i was expecting to hear but i'll take it"

i laugh and shake my head. could he get aNY CUTER

the movie finally starts around 8:45 and i find myself extremely close to him because of how intense it is. he puts his arm around me and pulls me closer to him.

i look over at emma and see she's practically sitting in my seat. i put my arm around her to comfort her and i slowly rub small circles on her arm with my thumb. after a few jumps scares she hides her face in my chest. i move the candy we got and pull her as close as i can toward me.

once the movie ends we leave the theater and sit outside for a bit. once we sit down she looks at me and starts talking

"i'm sorry that i was all over you. i didn't mean to be like that. i just wasn't expecting the movie to be like that"

i smile. "don't worry about it. it's okay"

she looks down and plays with her hands

"it's almost midnight. do you want me to take you home?"

"i can drive myself. but we still have that 10 minute walk back"

"okay. let's go then"

we walk back to our cars and say goodbye

once we get to our cars i look over at harry
"i had fun tonight. thank you."

"i had fun too emma. we should do this again sometime"

"definitely." i smile and look down

"i'll see you tomorrow em"

and with that he gets in his car and drives away. i get in my car and drive home and see grace sitting on her bed watching something

"well there you are" she speaks as i put my keys down. "where have you been"

"i went to the movies"

"oooo with whooo"

"harry."

"harry as in.. curly hair beanie skinny jeans harry?"

"yes"

"AW OKAY SPILL"

i take my shoes off and sit on my bed

"i mean we just went to the movies. i don't know what to tell you."

"did anything happen?"

"not really. unless you count me hiding my face in his chest and him putting his arm around me a "thing". i air quoted the word thing and look at her

"HE PUT HIS ARM AROUND YOU!?! that's so cute!!!!"

i laugh and shake my head

"i guess"

"oh my god. you like him don't you!!"

"a a little.."

"you do!!!! awwww"

"okay okay. fine. i kinda like him. anyway i'm going to bed"

"okay. good night"
