There was once a family, though not well-known, they were incredibly powerful. Each individual born into this family was a powerful and seemingly unstoppable force. With youthful looks, intelligence, and power, this family was incredibly strange. Not a single member seemed to age past the age of twenty, not a single member differed by father. All sired by the same man, this family was not filled with uncles, aunts, grandparents, cousins. Each and every member of this unnaturally large family, were siblings. The leader of this family was said to be the second sister, for her power exceeded that of all her younger siblings. Considering, you would think that her power exceeded her elder siblings as well, but this was not the case. The 1st sister and brother were the most powerful of the family, more so than even the woman who sired them. These twins, if they so wished it, could easily have taken full control over the family, but these two cared very little for the power that came from control over their own siblings.

As time went on, this family just continued to grow and to grow, going from few, to many. Within decades, their family had almost tripled its size. How was this possible? No one was sure. This family was a mystery to everyone outside of it's walls. Even as time went on around them, leaders of other families became old and died, the 2nd sister seemed ever so vibrant, her lead still as strong. During the Salem witch trials, a whole new problem arose for this ever so odd family. The people began to suspect the 2nd sister, and her triplet sisters, of being immortal witches. After all, they were the only ones that had been seen during the 2nd sister's long reign. Filled with rage and fear, the people from towns and families all around the world gathered around the tall walls that hid the mysterious members of this family.

No one is truly certain what happened that day. Some stories tell of the 1st sister, a fair haired and slim woman, coming out and ceasing the rage that quelled inside of the people with her magic words, before whisking her family away. Others say that the reason for this family's disappearance is because the people killed them off. A few even tell that an earthquake shook the earth and swallowed the family by god's will. A personal favorite, however, is the story that tells the most magical of tales. Speaking of how the 2nd sister herself, came out and smiled, trying to calm the angry and accusing cries of the people. When all else failed, and the people tried to attack her family, the petite and beautiful, fair-haired, 2nd sister stepped forward. A song escaped her and with her song, the earth bowed. It rose at the will of the woman and enveloped the homes of her family, sheltering them, and saving them, hiding them from the world. This family, which seemed to be surrounded in so much mystery, was known simply as the tide family."

With a sigh, I set down my paper and look cautiously at my classmates, who had curious looks on their faces. With an eyeroll, I send a questioning look at my teacher, who looked thoughtful. Suddenly, a hand slowly raises up, and I raise an eyebrow at the culprit of this action. The mysterious and kind of weird, Raziel. I groan quietly to myself, and nod towards him, "What is it?" I question, irritably. "Where did you come across this legend?" His low, soothing voice fills the room, surprising pretty much everyone. Not many people had heard the mysterious male speak. I cough weakly, eyeing the teacher, who practically forced me to answer the question with a small glare. I let a soft sigh escape my pink lips. "The legend of the Tide family, it's actually a lot longer than what I decided to mention in the project, but I guess that's not the answer to your question, huh?" He narrows his eyes at me but chooses to nod slightly. It seemed to me as if everyone else had faded into nothing, and it was just me versus him.

With a shiver, I turn to click off the power point. "I did my legend project on the Tide family, because my family happened to be linked with the real Tide family, back a few centuries. No one now is sure what really happened, but the legend stemmed from a truth of sorts." I admit before turning to the teacher, Mrs. Herish, odd name if you ask me. "Can I go back to my seat now?" I ask her in annoyance. She hesitantly allows it, and I maneuver my way back to my desk sitting in the back by the currently open window. I certainly noticed a pair of stormy eyes aimed at the back of my hand, and it sure as hell bothered me.
