*Apollo's POV*
"Her name is Dawn Stonem," my father, Zeus, shows the three of us where the mortal's neighborhood is. "Hermes will visit her when she sleeps, Artemis will visit her when everyone clears out in the morning and at night, and Apollo will be with her all day. Everything clear? Good." I Not and look over at my siblings. Hermes nods back and Artemis jumps up and down, eager to start this mission... as usual. I smile at her and we three take the transportation pearls. It flies us down to the neighborhood. Arti peeks in all the houses, but Hermes pulls her back, earning her that the mortals will see her."But Big Brotherrr," she whines. Hermes gives her a look but smiles. I follow the pair to a big black and white house, with neat-looking windows and perfect blue curtains. I sigh and think to myself... here goes nothing... We walk inside to perfect white walls, mahogany redwood floors and a white chandelier. Hermes places blue pills in each of our hands.
"Take this pill to remain unseen to the mortal eye. We can undo it anytime by saying 'Emfanizomai' but only use it during emergencies. Let's explore," he instructs. We start with the downstairs section. Happy normal family photos, a family of seven with two dogs. I stare at the strawberry blonde, blue-gray eyed mortal in the photo, standing next to her mother. That must be Dawn. Artemis looks at me, having the same thought. We explore the upstairs, checking the rooms. I open a door labled "DAWN'S ROOM" and make my way inside.
"Polly, I think that's Dawn... but she seems upset," Arti starts, I look over to the same strawberry blonde with those crisp, shining silver eyes. Her room is painted with sadness - a dull, chipped, old, pinky color, decorated with organized posters and beautiful drawings, finished with a gray-sheeted bed, loads of stuffed animals scattered on the covers with blue moon curtains and sun pillows.
"Wow..." I breathe. "This girl... has talent," I look at her many short book cases. It's full of vibrant Greek Mythology books, tales, legends, and encyclopedias. She studies about us as well... that's cute. I look at her drawings of my family and glance at her neat, unique signature. It says "Dawn Snow, 16". Wait... Snow?
"Arti..." I say in a hushed tone. I show her the signature and watch as her face churns into a confused expression.
"But... Pops said Dawn Stonem." she squeaks. We both get the idea of telling Hermes, but when we try to find him, he's already gone to the dream land.
"She's sleeping..." I say under my breath. Arti touches her soft face and lets out a sigh. sounding like a quiet sob. Artemis is usually almost-always happy and joyful, but tonight says otherwise.
"She's going through so much, Apollo..." she says in a hushed, saddened tone. "She was crying because of her father and her sister isn't that kind to her sometimes, her boyfriend's also starting not to kiss her back." she takes her hand away, staring at the small mortal with true sadness, hooking a lock of blonde hair behind her ear. I stare at her, then the mortal. What is this feeling... no... I can't feel bad for a human, she's a human! But... I do... I want to protect her... what is this burning feeling...
"Pollo..." Arti breaks my deep thought. "Should we tell Dad she's not the right Dawn?" I automatically shake my head 'no', but at the same time, disbelieving that I'm feeling this way. She nods 'okay' and starts smiling, with her warm, blue eyes. I give her a small, subtle smile back.
