'Tssssth'

"Don't think about it" said lily.

"How can't I think about it, it was my actions that lead to it, they shouldn't take the blame" Shift replied.

"Relax, if it weren't for you, the world would've already been destroyed and worse then this" She stated.

"Maybe, but that didn't mean I should've brought them to us, I should've known they were ready" he admitted.

'Ring, Ring!'

"One sec, let me get it." Lily said.

'Hello, is shift there?'

"It's for you" Lily continued.

Shift stands up and is passed the phone, he starts to answer.

"Hello, captain." Shift answered.

"Can we speak alone" Questioned the captain.

"Sure- Lily, I need to speak alone" Shift replied and stated to lily hesitantly.

"What's the matter?" Asked Shift.

"The project is commencing." Captain said.

"What Project?!" Replied Shift.

"Shift, The Project" Captain answered and hung up.

"Lily, I have to go!" Yelled Shift quickly.

"Where?!" She asked.

"Somewhere, and for quite a while." Shift replied.

"Shift, don't leave... Not again!" Lily complained.

"I'm sorry lily, I have to, it's important." He replied to solve it and he hugged her goodbye.

"Bye!" Lily yelled.

"Bye!" Shift said back.

Shift sped off in his car to go to the office. He went to the car park and sent off a signal to the captain, so they knew he was ready. He was teleported to the secret floor. Where all the work is done.

"Shift!, over here." Yelled the captain.

"What do I have to do?" Questioned Shift.

"Teleport... As quickly as you can." Replied the captain.

"Around where?" Shift asked in confusion.

"These 2 magnet retrievers" Captain replied.

"And what exactly will that accomplish?, why don't I just take needle?" Asked Shift.

"The needle is too dangerous, it permanently puts you in the parallel worlds. So we found that using these magnet retrievers, we can create with the serum, a portal into it. In saying that, it allows you to get back out, but only when you have the powers." Captain explained.

"What powers?" Asked shift confused by the theory.

"When you enter, you won't be Shift, you'll be the guy you would've been if the problem didn't occur that made you shift. In that case you have to gain the power in the final world of the parallel worlds, the one that you can't teleport to." Captain explained further.

"Great! Now what's the thing with all the worlds?" Shift hesitated in saying.

"In each world, you will be a different age, an age of 4 year separation. In this scenario, you will be 22, 26, 30, 34, 38, 42, 46, 50, 54, and 58 in that order of the worlds." Captain stated.

"How long will I be in there for?" Questioned Shift.

"As long as it takes you to get the power and wipe out the system." Captain replied.

"Great, let's do this!" Shift said sarcastically.

Shift jumped into position and the machine started to warm up and the countdown began to go until he had to teleport.

'20,19,18,17,16,15,14...'

"Just remember, if you die, you're dead forever!" Shouted the captain.

'11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3...'

"Bye!" Captain yelled.

'1, launching.'

Shift teleported as fast as he could, it created the portal and consumed him. The portal was closed off and put off limits. They made sure no one else entered, and if they did, they'd most likely die.

"Sir, what's even in those worlds?" Captain questioned the master after being called up to the office.

The Master replied, "What's in there, is nothing normal people want to see, all that is inside, is war."
