Valeria
"How can you say that?!" I screamed at her as tears streamed down my face. I wiped them away quickly, but they just kept coming out.

"You know I'm right." She seethed, rounding the island as the heels to her boots clacked against the wooden tiles. "You're nothing but a disgrace to your family, and you know it. Your parents know it."

Shayla's tall figure towered over my small one as she laughed wickedly at me, slapping me across the face. My head whipped to the left, as a felt my cheek heat up. I winced once I placed my palm onto mm it, only to see smeared blood on the tip of my fingers.

"Y-You bitch." I whispered before storming up the stairs, into my room. I slid against the door, sobbing. I didn't know if it was true, but I'm pretty sure it was. The looks they gave each other at dinner whenever I spoke, the constant 'late nights' -just to get away from me- and the recent insults I've gotten from my mom over the phone.

They always compared me to Shayla. 'Shayla got a boyfriend, you're still single and sitting on the couch.' 'Shayla has beautiful skin, but I still see some pimples on the top of your forehead.' They always gave Ethan attention. It was always about Ethan. They always called me fat and told me to stop crying whenever I did.

I looked up at the mirror, mortified of what I saw. My green eyes were filled with tears threatening to spill. And they no longer had this bright look in there eyes, as if my eyes turned darker. And my brown hair was a mess. Not a morning wacky mess, but it look rough, like it hadn't been washed and combed in weeks. I had a large bruise on my left cheek from when Shayla slapped me.

I was a mess.

I heard a soft knock on the door and the light sound of footsteps heading to my bathroom. "Are you OK?" I turned my head to the side and saw Ethan, with a sad look on his face, and I'm assuming he heard and saw everything downstairs.

"C'mere." I whispered, pulling him into a long warm hug. I felt a tear escape my eye, and I hugged him even tighter. "No, I'm not OK. But eventually," I looked down into his soft green eyes, "I will be. And it's my job to worry about you. Not the other way around."

"I just saw her slap you, and I wanted to make sure you were OK." He said softly. I smiled at him, shaking his hair with my fingers. "Go back to bed." I said. "I'll be back around 4:00." I grabbed my backpack, heading out of my door.

I ignored Shayla, flipping her off before I drove off to school.

*********
I hate college, school in general. Who in there right minds decided to create this hell where we have to go for 7 days a week?

IT'S STUPID, AND A WASTE OF TIME.

Once lessons were over I speeded over to Burger King to by myself some food before I went back home. I walked over to a booth in the back of the store and started to munch on my food.

"Is this seat taken?" A voice said above me.

I looked up and saw the same boy you broke my nose with a door. He looked alot attractive now, with his white Tshirt and tight black jeans that fitted his legs. I shook my head, ignoring him. I realized he sat right in front of me now, watching me.

Uhm...

"Can I help you with something?" I asked, irritated that this guy was always interrupting me in something. He shook his head smiling at me.

This is why I don't socialize with people.

"Andy." He said, exchanging his hand, expecting me to shake it. And I did.

"Bolerya." I said with my mouth full of food. I snickered while covering my mouth as I finished chewing my food. "Valeria." I shook his hand.

I heard the door swing open and hit the wall, causing everyone's attention to turn to the front. And I was shocked, but extremely happy to see him. His dark hair grew a little longer, a few strands covering the top of his forehead. On his left eyebrow there was a slit, causing him to be even more attractive. He wore the same damn smirk he had on ever since he left.

He wore a black leather jacket, with black jeans and combat boots and a black Tshirt. Once his blue eyes locked mine, his face broke into a smile as I ran into his arms, inhaling his sent.

Mint.

"You smell good, Daniels." I muffled into his shoulder. I felt him chuckle in my ear, and he kissed my cheek. He held me tighter, almost breaking my spine.

"Nice to see you too, Butterfly."
