Chapter 1: Adventuring

Trying to figure out what your wearing on the first day of school is honestly one of the most stressful things ever, but it doesn't really matter all that much because the rest of the year is like baggy hoodies and leggings. But hey I'm gonna try to try this year. So here I am in the middle of picking out my outfit, so far I have chosen some ripped skinny jeans with some brown leather boots, when my phone goes off. I walk away from my closest to my phone dock where I see that my super annoyingly sarcastic best friend Stiles is calling me. So I pick up my phone, "Hello?" I ask "I am coming to pick you up in 5 minutes be ready!!!" He basically yells into the phone, I swear that kid takes way too much Aderrol!

But I get ready anyway, grabbing my purse and telling my mom I'll be back later I rush out the door to see he's already here. "We'll get in we don't have a lot of time to get Scott and then go search" he days pushing open the door, "what exactly are we searching for Stiles?" I ask while climbing in to his blue jeep "a body" he says like it's the most natural thing in the world, gosh sometimes I question why were friends "you weren't ease dropping on your dad again we're you?" He does this a lot! Trust me. "Doesn't matter, we're here let's go" he jumps out of the jeep and starts climbing on the house to the roof.... Don't ask, don't ask I say to myself because well with Stiles, he's just so cool to take the front door. I slowly open the door of his jeep before jumping out and walking to the porch. I tried the front door but it's locked, mhmm maybe Stiles isn't too cool just physic. So I walk around and look in the window but I see nothing, walking around the deck I check all the windows when I hear Scott's scream, Stiles found him. Walking back to the front of the porch I realize that I really am not a fan of walking, lazy problems I know. I look up to see Stiles hanging upside down from Scott's roof and Scott standing there with his back faced to me and a baseball bat in his hand, except I swear he's never played baseball in his life, he's not the best at sports, but yet he's on the lacrosse team at Beacon Hills High School. I walk up to him and put my arm on his shoulder but he jumps up screaming and swings the bat at me and I move away just in time so that it doesn't it me dead in the nose! "My god! I'm not gonna kill you! If you don't kill me" I yell at him trying to calm my heart down, I mean gosh he just about broke my face! "Okay look! We need to find this body!" stiles says still hanging upside down, "a human body?" Scott asks " No a body of water, come on its Stiles" I say throwing him a look like really. Just then there's a thud and I look to see Stiles no longer hanging but on the ground. Jumping on the deck he says "my dad got a call that two joggers found a body in the woods" confused I'm so confused but just like that Scoot asks what I'm thinking "if they found the body why are we going?" He asks. Stiles gets the biggest smile on his face ever "that's the best part, they only found half" he says. Half a body... Like cut in half, I'm so having nightmares for the rest of my life.. " we're going" he says and soon enough we are all in Stiles jeep heading to the woods.

"Look I really don't like this Stiles.." I say looking around the dark woods trying to use my phone as a flashlight which does not work the best. "Yeah I don't either I'm trying to get a good nights rest before lacrosse practice tomorrow" he says proudly "you aren't still serious Scott, you'll never make it, we sit on the bench dude not happening" Stiles says " yeah sorry Scott I just don't see that happening" I tell him agreeing with Stiles because he doesn't have the best coordination, that boy can trip over air. Running up the little steep hill I catch up with Stiles "Gee thanks Riley don't wait for the guy that has asthma or anything" he says and I turn around to see him leaning against a tree shaking his inhaler. " Sorry Scotty, y'know ho-" I was cut off by Stiles pulling me down to the ground and Scott jumped down too just in time for a flashlight to go over where we were just standing, once the lights gone we jump up and start running so we don't get caught but Scott's a bit slow as he's taking a puff of his inhaler.

Hearing someone walking closer I grab onto Stiles and he looks at me before we slowly start walking backwards but end up falling with a flashlight flashing over us "found something!" a deputy of the Police Station yells.

"Wait! I know these 2 delinquents" Sheriff Stilinski says walking over to us, Stiles and I get up me wiping off my clothes because if I ruin this sweater it will officially be the 23rd sweater of mine that was ruined while I was with Stiles and I swear he's buying me a new one this time, but luckily for him it was still good. "Mind telling me if you listen in to all my phone calls Stiles" Sheriff says asking Stiles with a knowing look "Not the boring ones" Stiles mumbles to his dad "so where's your guys' partner in crime" Sheriff asks looking around the woods for Scott.

"Scott! Scott you out there?!" He yells but thank god Scott stays hidden I mean we get in enough trouble as it is he doesn't need to get into more, "Scott didn't want to come we wanted a good nights rest for school tomorrow" Stiles tells his dad and nudges me "yup" I says nodding. "So it's just you two?" Sheriff asks, I nod, "yup just us in the woods at night by ourself walki-" I smack his arm telling him to shut up before he gets us in more trouble " very well I'm going to walk you 2 back to your jeep Stiles, then your taking Riley home and going home, we will talk about invasion of privacy when I get home" Sheriff says walking between us and putting his hands on our shoulders leading us out of the woods.

I am now in Stiles jeep, him driving me home "what about Scott?" I ask him worried, I mean we did just kind of leave him alone in the woods at night with the whole Police Station out there looking for half a dead body. "He'll be find trust me" Stiles says giving me his adorable smile, which makes me feel a little better.

"I'll see you tomorrow at school" I tell him jumping out of his jeep and waving to him before walking to my door. Quietly pushing open my door I head up the stairs to my room and get ready for bed. Then I flop down exhausted from my adventure with my 2 idiotic best friends. None the less I go to sleep smiling.
