Kaylee's POV:
I sighed.
"Cassie, do I really have to go to a party?"
She just nodded at me
"Yes! You're always inside alone. C'mon Kaylee, you're 17, live a little!"
I just rolled my eyes. Cassie is always trying to do this. Ever since my ex boyfriend Brent screwed me over, Cassie is trying to get me to socialize. I'm not really a social person or anyting either so sometimes it bugs me, but I know she's just trying to help me.
Cassie held up a white-with-black skulls on it bikini and I glared at her. "There's no way I'm wearing a swimwuit." She made a pouty face. "But I got it in your size and style and everything please!" I sighed once more, "Fine."

I looked at myself in the mirror with the swimsuit on. It really does suit me. My style is punk-ish so I decided I liked it after all. I put on black shorts and a Falling In Reverse t-shirt over it though.

As I walked into the pool party, I tried my best to stay away from loads of people. I've learned that it's just better to ignore them so you don't get hurt in the end. I recognized a few faces. My sister's friend Randy was there. She's a dancer, and I gotta say she's pretty good. The next thing I know I'm being pulled away from the crowd. When I'm done being pulled, I look up and guess who I see.
"Brent." I snarl. "Let go of me"
He laughs. "Listen, I just want to get back together alright?"
I snicker. "Never in a million years would I go back to you. You fucked me up."
His eyes grow huge and look angry. I made a huge mistake. I closed my eyes and tried not to cry. 'He's going to hit me isn't he' I thought to myself. All of a sudden, his grip is loosened from my waist and I open my eyes slowly. I realize another guy is there. He had saved me from being hurt by hitting Brent. The guy comes up to me, and helps me up.
"Are you okay?" The blonde haired guy asked. He had a weird accent too.
I nodded quickly and backed away from him "I'm fine." He smiled. "Cool 'cause that guy is a douche and I would hate to see a girl get messed with like that." I couldn't make eye contact with this guy. I felt like he was judging me every move I made.. "Uh thanks. Sorry for troubling you. I'll leave now" I mumbled. As I turned to walk away, he grabbed my hand and winked at me and said "Wanna go swimming together?"
