Chapter Nine: One tree= One death and the Prophecy

Ender's POV: In the morning, I slowly drag myself out of bed. I shake Steve awake, who is sleeping next to me, and we go outside. Everyone else is already awake, but it was hard to tell if it was even daytime. It was always dark in the end. Vent is holding a giant Ender fish, they may sound bad but they are actually as delicious as fried chicken (well, for us Enders),but is frowning.

"We are going to cook this for breakfast" Vent announces a problem. "But we have ran out of wood. We need it for a fire. We need to get some, but I don't know where to search"

"Well, what are you waiting for? Let's go get some trees!" I say, and we start trying to find some trees. We search the highest hills, the lowest valleys, and even the blank empty roads. Unsurprisingly, there are not many to be found. After a while (just kidding, I mean a quarter of the day!) of searching, I wipe some sweat from my forehead. Finding stuff can be so much work!

"Where have all the trees gone?" I ask, but everyone is just staring behind me.

I have no idea what they are doing, but I sit down on a root of a giant oak and then... Root of a giant oak. I turn behind me. It's a giant oak tree! I sigh in relief, and punch the tree. Surprisingly as soon as I hit it, instead of being not-painful like normal trees when you punch them, this felt like punching bedrock covered in cacti and lava!

"Ow!" I wail in pain, immediently pulling my hand away.

I see my hand starting to turn crimson. What type of tree is this?

"What's wrong? It's just a tree!" Blast mocks, and flexes his muscles, which aren't really that good. "I'll knock it down in a punch"

Withel rolls her eyes at her friend. Blast hits the tree as hard as he can, but then starts screaming and starts waving his hand around like there was something attached to it.

"Give me a diamond axe" I say. "And a bucket of Ender Ice while you are at it"

Withel hands me the axe, and Steve places a bit of ice on my hand. Once my hand feels better, I flick the ice off and pick up my axe. I take a run up, and slice the tree as hard as possible. But in the end, the chopping bit of the axe gets lodged in the tree, and the holding bit is broken. The axe, an enchanted diamond axe with the highest enchantment and an obsidian-plated handle, was useless to a tree. What type of tree is this? Misty tries the explosive method. She stacks about 100 blocks of TNT on the tree, and gets ready to fire it up 200 blocks away. She presses the button, and the TNT detonates. We cover our eyes as a wave of end stone dust fills the air. But when the dust clears... THE TREE IS STILL THERE! Our mouths open so wide you could have fitted the sun in it with room to fit 10 extra Jupiters. What type of tree is this?!?!?!?!?!

"Oh, you dumb Leafheaded-JERK!" Steve yells, and pulls a leaf off the tree. "What the nether!?"

"Hey!" Withel and Blast exclaim, insulted like mad, and both their eyes glow a darker shade of red.

Steve cowers behind me, but that's not what I'm fidgeting about. I realised what tree it is.

"WAIT!! THIS THE RARE MONSTREE (lame name, I know XD) OF THE END! WHENEVER SOMEONE TAKES SOMETHING OFF IT, IT WILL"...

I can't even finish. Suddenly, there is a giant rumbling. The branches start moving, and then the tree turns towards us. It's holes where snakes or birds or lizards would burrow in, there were two of them, glowed as red as spider eyes.

"RUN!" I yell out, and reach for my sword but put it back.

Cutting at it would be useless, and explosions did nothing. We would have to find out a new way to fight this monsters. Steve, surprised, runs away. But the Monstree shoots out a root from it and the deadly root snags Steve's ankle. He yelps as the tree drags him across the ground and lifts him up into the air.
