Hello. My name is Mercury, and here's a story I want to share with you. My original goal was to try to track down my parents, however a much bigger issue sidetracked me, and ended up giving me a larger lead on what exactly happened with them. I am a 16 year old Night Shade, a Night Shade is a creature that's got copper claws, is relatively short; they can't grow past 3 feet and 11 inches, (which is where I'm at), have a lot of fur, and are one of the only species to specialize in Electric magic. My fur color is indigo. Since I have no particular idea where my parents are yet I legally live alone. The age for becoming a legal citizen of Nightwalk is 16, but before that I had to stay at inns particularly placed in odd locations for adventurers in a similar situation. I get metals from defeating monsters that I can exchange for money. At this point in time it's right around September 29th, 2051, 2 days before my 17th birthday... Oh. And another thing. I'd be in 11th grade here except for this: I asked to be able to take all the necessary exams required to pass this grade and 12th within a 2-month-period in order to "drop out" bu t with the education. That new feature that was added about a year ago saved me a whole lot of time. How was I going to find out who my birth parents are if I was busy 5/7 of the time with school? Anyway, I decided to start preparing now to start my adventure on my seventeenth birthday. How would I start? Buying a lot of potions. I had a bunch of spare cash from last month's bills, because literally most of the electrical appliances I used I powered myself to see if my electricity bill would plummet, and I only ended up having to pay a fourth of what I usually would. Stay tuned for the next Chapter: Chapter 2: An Unexpected Call!
