Waiting
Silence
Contemplating
Defiance
My mind just keeps running,
With nowhere to go.
Where will it stop?
Nobody knows.
Spinning in circles,
The colors run.
The world blends together,
Another game, not won.
An overactive mind is no space to think.
A simple game of cards, but the deck is stacked.
Every idea down the drain, the sink.
Took a wrong turn, now a wall's at my back.
The enemy's before me, what do I do?
Fire strikes my feet, the music plays louder.
I dance for the devil but he doesn't have a clue.
I'll smile on, for this is our last encounter.
Once the shadows are defeated,
I'll think clearly once again.
Hark! There are battles to be won.
Let the games begin!
