Cold Lie

What am I supposed to do,

When I don't really love you,

I just can't escape?

Playin' petty games,

Just another name.

Yet, you still have the key.

To my heart,

Did you love me?

Tore me apart,

Left me empty.

I cried your name,

Wade through debris

Of a feeble love.

Momma caught me halfway,

Locked me up, gotta obey.

Find another.

Risk it all again,

Just to be a friend.

But you're still my chosen one.

So I cry,

To dry my tears.

I just scream,

To feel the fear.

And I smile,

When I say,

I'm glad you love her.

But it's a cold lie.
