....this is a story about a one eyed mother and her son who takes her forgranted.

Every day at school the mother would come and bring her son lunch, and every day her son would chase her out to save him the humiliation. Once, his classmates spotted his poor one eyed mother and burst into mocking laughs and giggles..  caling her cyclops from a far... not coming close thinking she had some kind of contagious disease. And this bothered the son, not because he loved his mom, but because he was ashamed of her.  The boy would deny the fact that he was her son, telling them that he has no mother and that his mother died years ago.  But no matter how harsh he treats her, she always brings him lunch and says " i love you dear, take care"

The years past and the son was all grown up.. on the day of his graduation.. he begs his mom not to show up, but the mother insists. Wanting to see her only son graduate was her dream but she thought to herself, if he isn't gonna enjoy this day then it would be no use. So she steps back and says " i love you dear. I'm so proud."

The son turned into a successful businessman, moved to the states (leaving his poor sick mother behind), and started a family of his own. He got married to a beautiful accountant and had two girls.

The mother who was left behind started to miss her son dearly, and hearing the news that she is now a grandmother did not help her keep a distance from her new grandchildren. Despite her illness, she worked day and night. Getting into any job she possibly could. Desperate to see her family. It took her a few years to earn enough money for an airplane ticket. She knew that her grandchildren may have grown up a little bit but it didn't matter to her. As long as she could see them...  and her one and only son.

She finally got to the states, at first , she didn't know exactly where her son lived but since he was a successful businessman his name was somewhat famous in that town. So she found him easily. on the way to her son's house , she stopped by a toy store, remembering she had 2 girls waiting for her. She spent her only money on 2 clothdolls and a scarf to cover her missing eye.

At last, she reached the house of her son. More like a mansion, actually. Slowly, she heads for the front porch setting up her hand for the door bell..   Ding-Dong..  the doorknob twisted, just like the mother's heart full of excitement. The door slightly opens, with a little girl peeking out.. "who are you?'' she asks.  The mother's heart was warm, for the little girl look exactly like her when she was her age. "sweety, its me granny." she says with a sweet smile..  The little girl , confused and all, called her much older sister to the door. On the porch they chatted, laughed, and hugged. She gave  the eldest a letter to give to their daddy and the 2 clothdolls that she had bought for them. The mother could not hold her emotions and cried but with only tears flowing from one eye..

At that moment, her son arrived from work. Running towards him, he yelled "my son!! oh how i've missed you so!"  Realizing it was his mother, he grabbed her by the arm and told his girls to get in the house.

"What are you doing here? and why were you talking to my girls? They'll have nightmares of you! How could you show yourself to them!" exclaimed the son.

"Dear, i just wanted to see my grandchildren, I'm sorry if I've frightened them."

"Sorry isn't gonna cut it. Get out! And don't show your face here again!"

The mother, in tears, left without a word..  not looking where she was going, she was hit by a taxi on the street at the front of the house. The son who witnessed everything, actually hesitated to help his injured mother. The one who brought her to the hospital was the taxi driver that ran over her, followed by her son.

When she was brougt to the hospital, she was attended by the doctor who did surgery on her left eye years ago. Minutes after, she was pronounced braindead.

"excuse me, are you the patient's son?"

"yes, doctor, how is she doing?"

"not well, shes not responding to any of our treatments, but you seem to be doing well."

"what do you mean doc?"

"well,i doubt that you would still remember, i was the one who operated on you when you were a baby. you had infantile glaucoma in your left eye when you were born and you needed immediate surgery to prevent total blindness, so your mother decided to give you her's. She was so amazing, i could never forget her until now, you are very lucky to have her as a mother,"

in shock, the son nodded and was patted on the back by the doctor...  Motionless stood the son. fists closed and sweat dripping down from his nose...  suddenly 2 nurses ran to his mothers room. He followed. This mother was unstable but the nurses got it under control. he entered the room and stood beside his mother. dead still, he stared, and says:

"why? why, you crazy old lady?" a tear falls but only from his right eye.... he just realized it.

"mom, please forgive me...don't go yet..."  suddenly her heart ran out. in panic the son held his mothers hand "Mom! Mom!! please! don't Go! MoM. please! I love you! Your grandchildren love you! Mom please!"   beeeeeeeep.... went the machine...   and thus ending the life of the one-eyed mother...

( but wait......    now wasn't there a letter??   keep on a look out for part 2!!!!! )
