Daydreamer

Helpppp!!!!!

The next morning I awoke. I was particularly excited for this day. It was when daydreamer would be put to the test by my dad.   He would see if all our hard work had paid off.  I went to go feed her. I brushed her and told her good morning while she ate. Then, I lead her out side.  I looked and there was the white truck. Except this time, the man was outside of the truck. He had never been outside of the truck. He was smoking a cigarette, looked like a Marlboro. I remembered the words my dad had told me. I dropped the lead rope and ran. The man started chasing after me. I yelled out in fright. "Dad!!!" I yelled. "Help me"!!! The man grabbed my arm. My dad still wasn't here. The next thing I know, the guy was dragging me to his truck. All along he wanted me.  Then I hear hooves. Could it be? Was it? Yes it was. It was daydreamer. She rammed into the truck. Then, went for the guy. She bit him and kicked him, then he let go.  I was there in shock. She nudged me, as to let me know everything was fine. I looked down. The guy was on the ground. There was a puddle of blood. I took daydreamer and ran inside. "Oh dad," I said. I fell into his arms. " The man he tried to kill me, but daydreamer... she saved my life. I don't know if he's still alive." Without saying a word he ran outside. "He's still breathing" he said. "BRENDA, Call the ambulance. He ran to the horse. "Daydreamer seems to be ok. Are you?" "Dad I'm fine. I'm more worried about daydreamer." He patted her back.  " Daydreamer saved your life Kassidy." I went over to Daydreamer. I kissed her soft wet nose and she nudged me back. The ambulance arrived. My dad explained what had happened. The police officers took an report from me and my dad.  That night I slept with daydreamer. I was so proud of her. She was my best friend and my hero.  The end.
