Jeongin sat on the floor off the practice room, watching his leader demonstrate the new dance move they had just learnt. "Your arms are just supposed to do th- Jeongin. Are you focusing?"

"h-huh? y-yeah I am," he looked at his leader's eyes through the mirror, ignoring the warm feeling in the pit of his stomach when Chan gave him a smile.

"Well, start dancing!"

Jeongin stood up, waiting for Chan to play the song.

It was a new choreo, Chan made it up for one of their tracks. "I'm not sure if our choreographer will accept it, but it's worth a shot right?"

In the choreo, Chan and Jeongin needed to give physical contact.

Chan's hand would be on Jeongin's waist.

Chan took Jeongin's hand and led it up to his shoulder, where it should be for the dance.

"So it should go her-"

"I like you!"

It was silent, even the song was paused. The only thing heard was Chan's breathing, Jeongin holding his breath out of panic.

"N-No, I didn't mean that I-" Jeongin retracted his hand and held it, trying his best to hold in his tears, crying harder when it doesn't work.

"I'm s-sorry" Jeongin says, running out of the practice room.

Chan stood in that room, frozen and in shock.

He wanted to slap himself to know whether this was reality or not.

Jeongin walked weakly, his steps slow. He stumbled amongst the street of seoul, not knowing where his destination was, letting his feet take him wherever they wanted to go.

"I'm so stupid." he mutters under his breath, looking up at the night sky. His cheeks were tear-stained and red, he looked like a mess.

He was more upset on the fact that he probably won't be able to cuddle and hug his hyung like they used to, more than the fact that his hyung just gave him silent as an answer to his confession.

After a couple of hours, he finally stumbles in front of their dorm, he really hoped Chan wasn't in the living room.

Fortunately, everyone was in their respective bedrooms, even the couples.

He sits on the bed on top of Minho's, sniffling quietly, ignoring the fact that there were three more people in the room.

He envied Minho, Felix and Seungmin. They got their love returned. He remembered listening to their talks about their crushes, how they thought they never had a chance with them. Few more months, and they were mutually in love.

He didn't think Chan would just be so silent, it sort of hurt.

He cried himself to sleep that night.
