Alara shouted "I'm busy" so maybe whoever was at the door would leave but a woman said I'm a calm voice "Alara are you ok" it was Kelly she replayed with "I'm fine just some stuff" "can I come in" Kelly asked Alara didn't want to say yes but Kelly always made Alara feel better so she said "sure" and quickly wiped the tears off her face once Kelly came in she sat on the couch with Alara and could clearly see she had been crying "alara your clearly not ok" Kelly said looking concerned "it's just my parents" alara replies in a soft voice "what's happening you can tell me" Kelly said in a comforting voice alara quickly replayed with "we can talk later" as she ran out of her quarters Kelly had a confused look on her face alara had always opened up to her
The next week
All the crew noticed alara coming to the bridge with tear stands on her face not many but some "hey alara would it be ok if we had a talk after ur shift" "I sir" she replied
After alara's shift was over
"Hey captain" alara said confused "alara I have noticed lately you have been a bit tied and upset is everything ok" Captain Ed Mercer said "yeah it's fine just some stuff going on out of the ship" she said as a tear rolled down her face she quickly wiped it off but it was too late Ed already saw it "my parents are getting a divorce and making me chose who I want to live with after I finish work on the orville and my mum has already got another boyfriend so my dad is so upset" alara said in a shaky voice as tears rolled down here face Ed told her it would get better and not to worry alara felt better after that.
