Every academy has its reasons for attendance, typically along the lines of previous academic excellence or military personnel achievement. Military personnel achievement has become one of the most important factors for choosing an academy. Ever since the conclusion of the infamous war of the seven species, where the military seized control of six species, every academy has aligned their curriculum to suit the new, militaristic concerns of the public. They train groups of typically six, teaching how to fight together to build armies for the next Great War. These groups typically involve having two to three warriors, a sniper, a summoner and an elementalist.
The treaty between Humans and Vampires has resulted in the founding of the 'Demon Rune Academy'. Here, both species are trained together, building interspecial teams to maximise on each species strengths. The Vampires have unparalleled strength and agility, whereas Humans have a renowned connection to the flow of magic that is only rivaled by that of the Elven enchanters.
The Elves have treated with the Dwarves, mixing their magic with the mechanical creations of the Dwarves. These two species have surrounded their lands with these mechanical hybrids, providing their borders with stability not seen in any of the other races.
The Werewolves have approached the Halflings and, according to current intelligence, are approaching a favorable conclusion to the constant raiding upon each other.
The Demon Rune Academy starts it's new semester in two weeks, that's when i'm scheduled to attend. Starting during the second semester is unheard of, the teams are formed and are underway in their training. Just the perks of being unique it seems.
