I'm sitting inside my classroom waiting for class to start. I came 30 minutes too early because I was so worried that I would be late for class. Plus, I was scared that I would run into that Michael guy on my way. If you are confused about why I didn't see Michael in our dorm room. But the reason is that on the first night before school starts you get to sleep at home which I'm so relieved about.
So, anyway I'm just sitting alone in the classroom listening to one of my favorite songs 'I smile' by day6 which is my favorite band.
I was just singing the lyrics when someone took one of my earpieces out of my ear making me look up in confusion only to be met with two green eyes looking at me.
It's Michael and he's looking right back at me while smiling. Damn I really love his smile.
"Good morning Akira how are you?"
I snap out of my thoughts and say
"G-g-good thanks, u?"
"I'm good too thank you"
he says smiling at me. Then of course he sat down at the table next to me because the world just loves to make me suffer!!!
I keep on listening to day6 when I feel a hot breath from my ear. Then out of nowhere Michael asks into my ear (I only had one headphone in my ear) and asks,
"what are you listening to?"
Making me jump in my seat. His eyes widen, and he starts apologizing.
"I'm sorry Akira, I didn't mean to scare you I was just curious."
Michaels says guilty.
"Oh no don't worry it's fine I'm just really jumpy."
I say while giving him a reassuring smile. 'Oh, wow I didn't stutter this time' I think to myself.
"To answer your question, I'm listening to my favorite band day6."
"Oh, cool I should check them out they are pretty famous in America."
"Really?!?"
I shout excited but once I realize what I just did I hide my face in my hands out of embarrassment. He chuckles and says
"Yeah they are. They had a concert in America a month after I moved to Japan."
Right when I was about to continue our conversation a group of students entered the classroom including the teacher.
I took a quick look at all of the students and then I look at Michael and see that he had his eyes on a girl with long blonde hair. She looks at me and gives me a smile and then walks to her seat.
Through the whole class Michael kept looking at that girl and I kept me thinking 'does he like her?' which made me a little bit sad. Oh, who am I kidding? I don't have a chance with him.
