Y/N walked into the practice room along with the other 10 female trainees preparing for their monthly assessment. to say Y/N is nervous is a complete understatement, she was shaking in her shoes!

Y/N POV

today everyone is preparing for the monthly assessments that will take place in about an hour or so.

i'm so nervous tho! because today i was going to sing a song that i wrote not too long ago and i'm worried that it might not be good enough. i only had a month to write this song.

"are you okay?" my best friend Jiwon asked.

"huh? oh. uhh not really.idk i'm really nervous."

"don't be you'll be fine, your song it's great!"

ＡＳＳＥＳＳＭＥＮＴ ＴＩＭＥ

it was my turn to go up and i didn't want to show that i was nervous because, it'll just lower my score and my chances of debuting and i didn't want to risk that.

"Y/N you're up." JYP said.

i grabbed the mic and waited for the music to start so i could start singing.

"who wrote the song?"

"i-i wrote it.." i said kind of low.

"that was okay, i really like the beat but, next time use Korean or just perform a popular Kpop song okay, let's see if you could do better on your dancing"

you didn't really understand what he said so you just nodded and said, " 네 (ne) (yes)" you sat back down in your seat next to Jiwon and asked her what he said.

"he said your performance was okay and next use more Korean or just sing a popular Kpop song."

i just nodded and sat back in my seat waiting for the dancing round. i was kind of disappointed, i've only been here at JYP for about three months and i've never been professionally trained before i've been here, and i'm trying my absolute best but it doesn't seem like i'm working hard enough.

TIME SKIP

" Y/N you're up."

" yes!"

(you're the first girl in the orange shirt)

JYP sat his pen down leaning back in his seat. "seeee that was so much better, i don't see why you try to sing. that was so good!"

"thank you." i only said thank you because i heard him say very good. i didn't under anything else.

BANG YE DAM POV

"i'm dying i'm dying deep down inside my brain, i'm crawling i'm crawling i know inside my head, 시간이 시간이 약이래, i don't think so, 내 곁엔 항상 없었어, you're a betrayer." i ended the song quite nervous. since i did write and produce this song in under a month, i was extremely nervous as to what YG would say.

"who wrote this song?"

"i did sir."

"maybe work a little harder next time." (AN// YG actually complimented Ye Dam on this song it's just for the story. i'll leave the full song at the end of this chapter :))

"yes sir." i bowed and left the center of the floor to take a seat.
i am extremely disappointed in myself, i could've done so much better. after this monthly assessment i'm gonna start working non stop on my next song for next months assessment.

"Bang Ye dam!"

"yes?"

"come here."

"i need you to tell all the trainees that we're going to start a survival show for our next boy group next week."

"so we're going to start filming for the show next week??"

"that's what i just said, you can go now."
