History: Mikata's father turned obsessive and abusive from the moment he realized his daughter had a Quirk [age three]. He was a military man, and wanted to train her- especially since she was the first one with a Quirk for a good couple generations. He wasn't focused on her specifically becoming the number one hero, but he wanted her to be one of the best. He was of the "If you can still cry, you can still fight and train." mindset. She was physically and emotionally damaged, but a lot of the scars and injuries she sustained have faded enough that most people can't see.

After living with that abuse for her childhood [since age three], she went to live with her cousin [Sousuke; age thirteen] for a long while before returning home [age fourteen]. By the time she returned, her Father had gonna back into the military and was K.I.A. She couldn't find it in herself to be saddened- she didn't even go to his funeral- though she did stay with her Mother once her Father was gone. Her Mother is still alive, and anxiously awaiting for her daughter's return from U.A. She was only partially aware of what was going on with Mikuri [Father], and she had no idea it had ever gotten so bad. Her daughter was good at hiding her injuries- most were sustained from punishments for failing to do what her Father instructed. She was most riddled with scars on her arms and back specifically. He would have her hold her arms out, and use whatever object he found suitable as a punishment over, and over again- stopping only when he was satisfied that she'd been taught a lesson. He would sometimes wrap her wounds and take her back to her room, though not always.

To this day, she still kneels and holds her arms out if she feels that she's failed and whomever she's talking to would need to punish her. Usually men she's close to.

She is slowly trying to break herself of this habit.

//Fun Fact: I had no idea Mikata meant "friend, supporter, and ally." Until I googled to make sure no other character had that name. The more ya know 😂👌🏻
