later that day jinx decided to go to  the quidditch training grounds. When she got there, she saw Remus practicing defense magic. he didn't notice her until one of hos spells back fired and he was flown across the field. "REMUS ARE YOU OK!!" Jinx yelled  running as fast as she can. Remus started to sit up and said "oh Jinx, yeah I'm fine just a spell gone wrong again it's no big deal i'll be fine" as she finally got to Remus,she could tell that has been practicing all day. "I'm glad you are okay you should be more careful next time." she exclaimed she was about to stand up and walk away when Remus grabbed her wrist. She tried not to wince at the pain seething from her wrist. "Jinx I know you have been hurting yourself i can smell the blood coming from your wrist, why must you do this to yourself." Remus asked Jinx just stood there frozen in fear.  She didn't know what to say when suddenly her brother showed up."Hay Pratt father demands that I bring you back home for winter break." Lucias said Jinx looked scared but she knew she had to stand up to her brother one day so she decided to stand up to him now."NO" was all she said " No, What do you mean no." Lucias was in shock he never thought that she would stand up to him of all people. "I mean I am not coming home I am staying here at the castle and there is  nothing you can do about it." she said then she started to walk away. But not without being followed by Remus. "our conversation isn't over jinx" Remus persisted "not now Remus please I just want to go back to my room and finish my homework. i only came out here because i wanted some peace and quiet." After that they parted ways Jinx went back to her dorm room and he went to his. Remus felt he had to tell Sirius about everything that happened so he did. "JINX HAS BEEN DOING WHAT TO HERSELF!!!!" Sirius screamed at his friend. "she has been slitting her wrists. It looks like she has been doing it for years." Remus repeated himself "yeah we got that Remus Sirius is just really upset because he really likes Jinx." James Potter said Sirius was so shocked by what Remus had told them. He didn't know what he was doing until he saw the Ravenclaw secret entrance. He only knew where it was because he followed jinx back to her common room on their first night at Hogwarts to make sure she was safe. He said the secret password and climbed in he asked a few first years were Jinx's room was. when he finally got to her dorm , he finally realized what he was doing and left before he did something he might regret. When Sirius got back to the Gryfinndor common room he went strait to bed.
