Alice was born to Edward and Estella du Noir, a Britannian Noble couple. She grew up under the rule of Britannia never truly knowing, the reason why they attacked Japan or Area 11, but she did feel sorry for Eleven's she wanted truly to help them but she wanted not to be a disappointment to her parents, family, and country. As well as not having a real childhood or falling in love like anyone else, in a slow and normal way.

To say that she was cold-hearted hardly, she was a kind-hearted young lady. Always thinking of others first before thinking of herself. She was put through arrange marriage after another, something that she secretly had ended herself without anyone knowing about it. There always someone she could trust her secrets with, her closest friend, Villetta Nu a noble-woman like Alice, who she trusted ever since she could remember.

Having shut another arranged marriage down, she stepped into her role as a soldier for Princess Cornelia, taking her duty as a soldier rather seriously but still held her true feelings for the Japanese and how sorry she felt for them.

Villetta Nu - Alice had known her from the many parties her family had held over the many years, as well through the army. They cared about each other, even if they weren't in the same faction of the army. She felt like a failure to Viletta for not returning to the Britannian Army, as well as a failure to their friendship from working with the enemy and falling for an "Eleven" man. Their friendship and trust were put to the test because of that. Villetta saw the attraction Alice had for this "Eleven" man had dirtied her pure and noble blood and would "disguise" herself as Alice to get close to the man and end his life making sure that her "love" would be for a Britannian nobleman, who she would have to fall for.

This would be proven wrong when she saw and heard the love from Alice to the "Eleven" man when she saw a Knightmare Frame fly away with Alice in its arms and Alice calling out to the "Eleven" or Japanese man, they both had their arms stretched out one another.

She would again see the fruit of the love between Alice and the Japanese man, meeting on Horai Island and seeing their child, Takuto. There she also apologized to Alice for what she did to the father of her child, to which Alice accepted her apology since she could never be angry with Villetta since they were friends and Alice still cared for Villetta.
